Sunday Social 9/23 and funny stuffs.

Sunday Social

1.  What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of?
Have a baby.  The fears are numerous.  But my desire to carry around a little cuddlebug will, I'm sure, ultimately outweigh my fears.  Please don't tell me your horror stories.  All babies are cute and cuddly all the time.  All the time.

2.  Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Not in Alaska.  Having a masters' degree would be nice, but I don't know if it'll happen (ever).  Depending on the career path we choose concerning the army, I can't even say where we'll be living.  There's mystery, excitement, and dread in that all at the same time.
5 years AGO, I wasn't even doing my student teaching yet.  I was in my junior year at PSU.  Oh my, how things have changed.

3.  What are you looking forward to by the end of 2012?
My husband coming back from Afghan-land.  Resuming a normal living routine.  Not being by myself all the time.  Our upcoming vacation to a warmer climate.  Pretty much everything.

4.  What are your hopes for your blog?
This blog has already succeeded every hope I've had for it.
I began this blogging journey because other people had blogs and I figured I could do it too.
I never dreamed I'd fall in love with it like I have.  It's become such a focal point in my life and, honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I don't know what direction I want it to take.  I just want it to be me.  I don't have the stamina to go food blog.  Or the style to go fashion blog.  I'm obviously not a mommy-blogger.  It's just me.  I want to keep people reading, that's for sure.  If there's anything you'd like to see, lemme know.

5.  Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?
HA.

Don't make me laugh.

No.  No.  No.  Never.  Absolutely not.

I'm NOT being overdramatic (mother).  Everyday I count all the blessings I have (health, a comfortable home, an iPhone, a car with decent gas mileage, an awesome purse, a loving husband, etc.) and then I insist (usually to the windshield) that life isn't fair.

6.  What is your morning routine?
Turn off alarm at 6:02am.  Turn on iPad.  Turn on news.  Check email, Twitter, etc.  Coffee.  Turn up the heat (it's set lower at night).  Try not to fall down the stairs while using my iPhone as a flashlight.  Clothes, makeup, hair.  More coffee.  Blog-read on computer at dining room table while drinking coffee.  Out the door between 7:30-8:00.  As the darkness creeps in with the fall season, I leave the house later...and later...and later.  I usually take food of some sort to school and eat breakfast before the kids get there.

funny stuffs.

Here's a secret about me.  I love me some Chuck Norris jokes.
I mean truths.  Chuck Norris is not a joke.

I'm tired of picking on KStew.  She, like her movies, has gotten boring.  Suggestions?

Although, a friend of mine (who needs her own blog) said that there are Bella pumpkin carving stencils out there.  I say we carve a pumpkin with KStew's face, put it on the top of a mop handle and say, "Look, it's the talented Kristen Stewart!".

Alright, maybe now I'm done making fun of her.

  1. Aww I know what you mean about blogging exceeding your expectations. That's how I am. I do lots of random things (painting nails, jewelry making, sewing, etc.) but blogging is the hobby that's really STUCK. :)

I also wanna have bebes. At least two!

  2. Hi from Sunday Social(:

You know, after reading what you put about blogging it made me rethink my answer. That was definitely well said, girl! I agree.

    Happy Sunday! xoxo

  3. Ha, I do the same thing on our stairs.

Picking on Kristen Stewart can never be boring. Tonight we watched Snow White and the Huntsman and the second it was over Isaiah said, "Well, once again Kristen Stewart proves she can't do a movie where only ONE guy falls for her..."

  4. The rest of your 2012 sounds awesome, I hope your husband is home soon :) Also that you leave Alaska...I kind of get the impression that you're not a fan of living there.

  10. I love reading your blog! Would you ever write a book? That is one of my goals but realistically not for a LONG time lol.

Also, don't fear having babies...that's exactly why the epidural was invented! :)

  11. I am ready for a cuddle bug, too! The thought of being responsible for a miniature human is daunting, for sure, but I just really crave that unconditional love, you know? My husband is away at work a lot, too (not nearly as much as yours), but I just think having that little person to come home to would really make those lonely nights so much more bearable and really force me to get my life organized. I HATE when women need to wear their horror stories like a badge of honor! MAJOR PET PEEVE OF MINE!

P.S. Crazy thing... I went to create a blogger account as a first step to finally creating a blog (YOU INSPIRE ME), and I totally discovered that I had already started one... from our PSU years. I think they made us create one for DI? Does that sound, right? Anyway, I'm debating whether to keep those old posts and build on this account, or delete those posts and build on this accord, OR start fresh with a new blog. Decisions, decisions!

  13. I'm so glad you started your blog! I love the direction it's going. And I have the same hope - that your husband comes home to you for GOOD. :)

Oh, and that Modern Family funny? I LOVED THAT SCENE.

  14. HAHA OMG, you crack me up!!

Babies are pretty cute and cuddly most of the time. The newborn stage is not the one to worry about, despite what people will tell you. It's the mobile stage. When they get into everything and develop an opinion. Sometimes I miss when Ben was just a potato. Hahaha!

And those Chuck Norris jokes are freaking hilarious. Love it!
