A list of 5 things

1. I need to set a reading timer or something. I've been reading before bed and I just don't stop when I should stop and then I go to bed late and then I'm reminded that this is why I prefer audiobooks these days. I get too involved in the physical act of sitting and reading and nothing else gets done.

2. I have to actively force myself to make something other than pancakes for dinner most nights.

3. My class won a pajama party yesterday. This was a school-wide incentive, because I would never offer that up.  I'm super competitive, so I really wanted to win that contest (and we DID), but of course the prize is a pajama party. Much like adults, pajamas are the favorite attire of children.

This Schmidt moment sums up my everyday life. That's why I use it all the time.

4. I didn't wear pajamas.  I still don't believe in pajama day.

5. If you're still thinking about self-tanner, here's my post from Monday...I plan on using it again this weekend.

Even though we're getting plummeted with rain and snow again this weekend. I had previously signed up for a 5K tomorrow (ha ha) and I might just not go if it's cold and snowy/rainy. Maybe they'll cancel. Coloradans aren't exactly tough.
Kidding. Kind of.

  1. Penny had pajama day today and it was probably the best thing EVER. She was giggling all morning.

  2. Ha. Yeah I'm with you on the whole pajama day thing but it doesn't seem like this generation of kids understand that not everything is about them.

Hahahaha! This is the most true comment about Coloradoans ever.

Also, the meme of Schmidt might be my new favorite thing.

I went to Walmart last Wednesday to find my 4 year old a pair of pajamas for the next day. They were a size 4, too big and flannel but thankfully it was snowy/cold the next day. Colorado weather. Ugh. But, preschoolers do pajama day. My 8 year old basically wears tshirts and sweats to school daily. Pajama day, schmaja day. psht.

    {I think I'm not awake enough to fully leave normal sounding comments. Sorry about that}

  4. I have a 5K walk Sunday and it's supposed to rain the entire time.

  5. Erica loves pajama days. I think she's had a couple of teachers who've participated and a couple who haven't. I don't judge when then don't.

  6. I don't believe in pajama day, either. I hated it when I was a kid, hated it as a teen (why do they still do these things in frickin' high school??) and as an adult I think it's silly.

    Schmidt is my favorite.

  7. I am super competitive about stuff like that, too (READ: Box Tops). Right now, our Box Top incentive is a dessert bar after lunch. I'm keeping my fingers crossed waiting for the count. One time, our incentive was to get 750 Box Tops to earn a Pajama Day. The top 2 classes in the school would get to wear pjs AND be served hot chocolate. You can bet I won that! I LOVE pajama day! :)

  8. My husband wears a flight suit to work which he says are basically like pajamas. I wear sweats and a t-shirt to bed so I guess most days are pajama days for me. :)

I went to Catholic school and had to wear a uniform. Any day where we could wear regular clothes was a treat and so much fun.
