Howl-o-ween

Sweater: Loft // Shirt/scarf: Target // Pants: JCPenney's // Boots: Report

It's disgustingly humid here, still.  I spent all day basking in the A/C yesterday.  It's only 65-70 degrees but it feels like I live in a swamp.

I got a haircut last week.  I immediately regretted my decision and wished I would've went shorter, even though she took 2 inches off.  Then I highlighted it.

The boots are new from Zappos.

The tomatoes are dying (I could probably undo that zip-tie and move them out of the shot...I could also probably put away the stacks of clean dishes I'm staring at right now.)

And here we have Super Scout.

His puppy teeth are falling out and he must be going through a growth spurt.  He was in no mood for pictures.  I'll try to get better ones tonight (because that's what we're doing on Halloween: hanging out with our dog).

We decided we'd turn on the light for trick-or-treaters.  Actually, Scott decided it when he brought home one of those $20 bags of candy bars.  I was looking forward to not doing Halloween.  At least there's no party at school today...that's still making me so happy!

But, of course, I had to make something.  These are super easy and quick!

Stick (store-bought) rice krispy treats on lollipop sticks.  Dip in candy melts.  Dip in sprinkles.

Happy Howl-o-ween!

  1. We still have a monster tomato plant that is seeming still growing though not producing much. I can't figure out how it isn't dead yet but I'm sure it will be soon! Those candy bags are pricey, man, I'm glad we live in the middle of nowhere--no one trick or treat when the houses are more than a city's block's distance from each other!

  2. I love that outfit and those boots are super cute! At our last base we volunteered for Trunk or Treat each year and that was a lot of fun but this year we'll just be handing out candy at home. Hopefully we have a lot of kids stop by because Dylan bought a TON. Scout looks too cute! I wanted to dress Glenda up in a tutu but Dylan refused. Maybe next year?

  9. Super Scout! Love it!

The color on your hair looks great. I'm getting ready to add some color to mine as well. I'm just not sure which color yet.

I am also not a Halloween fan. We are hiding from the trick or treaters tonight but that doesn't get me out of having to wear some sort of costume for my dance classes tonight. Mer.

  10. Super Scout is the most adorable ever!! And ugh--I'm sorry you're turning your light on--we are NOT. I am so anti halloween this year it's ridiculous. Your outfit is adorbs--I'm sure it's a shocking difference from what you were having to wear this time last year!

  12. I ALWAYS wish I had gone shorter with my hair. Always. Especially this last time... I did tell her to cut it a certain way, and she left it longer (I've found hairdressers get a bit scared to cut hair short) and I didn't correct her. Stupid me.

  13. You would look so cute with short hair and could totally pull it off. Love the boots. Super love the dog. That's how we are spending Halloween too. Hanging out with sick puppy dogs.

  14. LOVE that outfit, and I love Super Scout, too! :)

We had our Harvest Day party on the 25th. Thank goodness. I'm just glad it's over. Parties with 6th graders aren't much better than ones with 1st graders. :-p
