Friday Favorites.

1. Scott was promoted to Major this week. Definitely a favorite. Pictures are on my Instagram so head over there!

2. I have been keeping up with my nails! Per my goal for December, I'm attempting to keep polish on my nails (and keep it not in complete disarray) because it stops me from biting them, sure, but it also just makes me look more put together.
 

Essie Barefoot and Topless is my favorite neutral I've been using for a few years.

Essie Double-Breasted Jacket isn't working out. It's chipping after only a few days. Same formula as the one I did last week, I'm assuming? But that one worked out so much better for an entire week. 

3. The stocking holders I got from Target were an absolute win, after years of deliberation and procrastination because we didn't have a fireplace in Colorado but have in almost every other house. 

Jett and Scout got their stockings back in 2014. I bought Wells his stocking last year. I bought mine and Scott's this year at Kohl's. 

I don't know why there's a one-star review for the stocking holders on the website. I don't plan on putting a ton of heavy things in stockings prior to Christmas morning and I think they're really pretty. Maybe they won't hold a bunch of books or something, but that seems small in the grand scheme of things? The website says "up to 3 lbs". 

4. Wells has been doing this thing that is perplexing but I don't totally hate it. When I put him down for a nap, sometimes he just screams and screams. After my usually CIO techniques don't work, I'll grab him, keep him in his sleep sack, and we'll sit on the floor in the living room and watch The Office or something and he'll snuggle up and fall asleep. This has happened maybe 4-5 times in the last two weeks. He's not normally a snuggly baby, so I'll take it. 

5. And funny things:

You literally can't win.
