Last Friday night, I was browsing through Netflix and I came across Love Actually. While I'm not one for Christmas music in November, the week of Thanksgiving marks the beginning of Christmas movie season in my house.
When Scott came into the room, he was all, "NO." He was appalled that I was watching a Christmas movie when it wasn't even Thanksgiving yet. That's laughable. Look around blogland, Scott. We're behind!
We most certainly spent our Friday night watching this movie.
The best parts of Love Actually…in order.
5. January Jones
4. This kid from Game of Thrones.
2. Hugh Grant
1. Andrew Lincoln

Rick has nothing on this tortured soul.
Out of all TWD scenes Andrew Lincoln has done, this is my favorite.
What's your favorite part of Love Actually? Or, rather, what's your favorite Christmas movie? Tis the season and all.
I totally agree--this is one of my favorite holiday movies now! The first time J and I tried to watch it was over the summer after it was released (when it was released on DVD). We'd only been together a few months and we were unaware that it was a holiday movie. We turned it off in the first like 10 minutes because we didn't understand the porn storyline and thought it was just casual sex and were freaked out by it (gosh, hs joey was such a prude hah)! I can't wait to bust this out this holiday!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but Love Actually is actually (haha) one of my least favorite Christmas movies. I'm just a sucker for all the old classics...It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, A Christmas Story...I think the most "modern" one I like is The Holiday. We watched some cheesy one on Netflix last night called something like Coming Home for Christmas. It was t.e.r.r.i.b.l.e.
ReplyDeleteI saw this at the theater with my sister, Thanksgiving of 2003. Loved it! I love most of the story lines, Colin Firth and the Portuguese girl, the Prime Minister and Natalie, I just love it all.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE "Love, Actually!" I think the more you watch it, the more you appreciate how all of the different characters' stories intertwine! I also quite love Colin Firth. :)
ReplyDeleteI really love "Love, Actually." I may need to bust it out this weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's my favorite! We watch it every year!
ReplyDeleteI freaking LOVE Love Actually. High Grant's story is my fave, and then Colin Firth's. I love that it's in England as well. Gah, so many stars - Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson!! I love it. I keep begging my husband to watch it, and he won't but I will keep begging and eventually he'll say yes. haha.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, whoa, whoa. I had no idea that THAT was Rick. My mind has been blown into a million pieces.
ReplyDeleteYes. It is. Although, I think I like The Holiday more. It gives me goosebumps it's so adorable.
My first Thanksgiving with Kev's (2006), we had to go around the table and say what we were thankful and what our favorite Christmas movie was..my sis in law had just finished an eloquent speech on health and not having cancer and It's a Wonderful Life and then I mumbled "Kev, and Love Actually". The whole family stared at me like a crazy person- no one had seen it and they didn't consider it a Christmas movie since only the 'classics' count..most of which I have never seen. Ill never forget how embarrassed I was. ha so longest comment ever- it is my favorite too.
