Real Confessions Part II

Sweater: Gap ($10) // Scarf: Target ($10) // Pants: JCPenney // Boots: Report // Watch: Fossil
--------------------------------------------------------------

1.  I emptied out my bags the other day in an attempt to organize.  This is what I saw.

If you look closely, you'll see a pair of socks and a pair of scissors.

2.  People who spell "aisle" as "isle" make me want to throw up.

3. I believe diet soda is the devil.  I'm not sure how/why people don't realize this yet.  I hate myself for all the diet soda I've ever drank (which isn't even that much).

4.  I cannot name one classic novel that I like.  I don't understand the Jane Austen obsession a lot of girls have.

5.  Please don't parade your Thirty-one sales my way.  I don't want that stuff.

6.  I've never read Harry Potter.

7.  Along the same lines, I don't understand adult obsessions with Disney films.  It's not that I don't see where you're coming from because we all have obsessions; it's that I truly don't understand.  I never was a fan as a kid, so I really don't see the appeal as an adult.  This leads to…I've never seen Frozen.  That's okay I guess.

8.  I rarely wash fruit before I eat it.  I like to think that I'm boosting my immunity.

9.  I firmly believe that people in Missouri aren't as nice, caring, or genuinely kind as they were in Alaska.  I find some reminder to reinforce this almost every day.

Real Confessions Part 1 here.

  1. I'm with you on 8 & 9! And a few others, too. Do you know where you're moving next?? Hope you're well!

  2. I feel the same way about Georgia people. They just aren't as nice as Alaskans were.

I don't get the adult obsession with Disney movies either. I've seen a ton of them, I have kids. I can hardly sit and watch a whole one without getting up and walking away. They're cute movies, but why as an adult would you chose to just watch it over & over again?
I've yet to see Frozen even though the kids want to.

    I second the classic novels.

    And the diet soda thing.

And the 31 thing- this goes for all of it for me. Thirty one, pampered chef, scentsy, it works wraps, all of it.

  3. Okay. We are kindred spirits. My purse currently has a dead cat's acid reflux meds in it (uh, why?) 1 glove and a pair of underwear. 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 & 8--all yes yes yes.

Also? I'm proud of your rand-o nail polish bottle in your bag. Very proud. Oh wait--I think i see two.

  4. I'm Disney obsessed to a point but its a lot due to it being one of the best memories with my mom that I hold on to.

Being a fellow Missourian I will say that my state could use a course in manners, etc. But not all of us are that way! ;)

  5. I have never liked any Austen or Bronte novel. At all. They alternated between being annoying and boring.

And I've never purposefully drank diet soda though I've accidentally sipped it a couple times and realized immediately that it was diet. Real pop is bad enough for you, but I'll drink it from time to time. I definitely won't drink diet.

  8. My bag looks very similar to yours. I may actually get it organized one of these days. The curse of a big bag.

Diet Soda is the devil. It is SO bad for people. so bad. I don't get how people don't understand that!

I love your hair color btw. You look great!

  11. I agree with just about all of these.

I've never read a Jane Austen novel either. I kind of want to just so I can say I did it but that's really the only reason. I'm not even a huge fan of the movies.

    Thirty-One stuff is fugly.

I've never read Harry Potter either. Absolutely zero interest.

I honestly don't like most of the newer Disney cartoon movies like Frozen or The Frog Princess (or whatever that was called). Give me all of the classics - Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, etc...but keep the newer stuff. It's too preachy.

I only wash fruit when it's actually sticky/super waxy from chemicals, like the apples I bought the other day. Those were nasty and I couldn't even get it all off with DISH SOAP.

I firmly believe that people in Sitka aren't as nice as people in Missouri, so there's that I guess. ;)

  12. Haha I never wash fruit either - Mike just cringes. Oh, and glad to see I'm not the only one with a disastrous bag!

  13. Oh I love all things Disney haha. I don't wash fruit before eating it, just doesn't make sense to me.

  14. You got a fantastic deal on that GAP sweater- well done! Also, I've never understood classic literature either, I always used Coles Notes to get through it at school and even then it was a struggle!

  15. I'm with you on 2 and 8.

I wish you could move to Iowa. We're nice here. :)

  16. Geez Kristin... just read Harry Potter! ;)

I'm only obsessed with Disney movies as far as Penny is obsessed. So I've seen Tangled and Frozen about 100 times. It hurts my brain.

  17. I liked Disney movies as a kid, but I'm not psyched to see them as an adult. I will likely never see Frozen. I still like Disney itself, I think the parks and service are like an art form, but I don't get hyped about the movies.

I'll also never read Harry Potter or see any of those movies.

I love Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, My Antonia, and some other classics. I hate more of them than I like.

ThirtyOne crap is extremely pricey for no good reason.

    I rarely wash fruit either.

  18. You haven't read Harry Potter????!!!!!!!!!!! You have to. BEST series ever, and that's coming from someone who resisted it for YEARS.

While Frozen was a good movie, I would not have seen it if I didn't have a 9 year old.

Don't even get me started on Thirty-one. My niece sells it. I'm somehow in her FB group. WTH?

  19. Don't people know that an aisle is not even the same thing as an isle??

I have tried to read Pride and Prejudice. I really wanted to like it. I didn't even finish it.

I used to like Thirty-One. I was a big fan of my tote bag/lunch bag/purse coordinating for school. Almost every bag I have from them has fallen apart (except the lunch totes). Our bags (hand bags AND totes) from Celebrating Home are much better! :)
