1. The Host. Such an awful book. I never finished it 4 1/2 years ago when Scott bought it. Scott wanted to watch the movie the other night. I made it about 3/4 of the way through. He fell asleep. I hated myself for being too lazy to get up and turn it off, but I eventually mustered the motivation to get off the couch. I still, all these years later, don't know how it ends.
2. Honey butter and Gingerbread. This is an amazing combination. Oh, that honey butter. I could eat it with a spoon. Keep reminding yourself that it is, in fact, straight butter and not frosting. Or you probably will end up eating it with a spoon.
4. The Nike Fitness Center app is amazing. It's free. It allows me to strength-train for 15 minutes a day. My muscles feel it the next day. I don't have to drive 20 minutes to the gym. Win, win, win. You need to try it!
5. Speaking of fitness, I found this story about a guy who achieved a 6-pack and still wasn't happy. It sounds really familiar. I was so close to what we can probably call a 4-pack this past summer. Did it ultimately make me happy? NO.
6. The kids. We had a question last week, "Write a sentence about a song you would like to sing". I was writing answers on the board. I called on someone and the answer I got was, "What does the fox say?" and I was like "I... would... like... to... sing... "What...did...the...fox...say." as I wrote it on the board....they were all, "NO! What DOES the fox say!!" and I was all, "Oh, what DOES the...fox? say?" and they're like, "Yeah" and I'm like, "Huh...I don't know that one" and they're like, "Oh, we do". I won't go to the trouble of linking to the ridiculous video. You can youtube that one on your own time.
7. Some people told me these look like pirate boots. That's a new one.

Entire outfit: Target // Boots: Report
(What a hideous background. Sorry about that.)
8. Speaking of hideous, the Missouri University of Science and Technology has done it again. They told Scott he owes them $16,000 and on the list of charges for one semester thus far is "Tuition: $5,500" and "Out of state tuition: $8,500". There's more, obviously, to make it add up to such an obscene amount of money, but I do wonder how they got TWO tuitions factored into the bill for ONE semester. They, indeed, must be geniuses at that math and science college.
This is on top of the fact that they haven't let him properly schedule his classes for the last 2 weeks AND no one will return his phone calls. Friends, not that you were planning on coming to Missouri in the first place but, please avoid this school. What a headache. And it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside to know that they are so thoroughly unsupportive of the Army.
9. (This list is getting long...)
Did The Walking Dead again put anyone to sleep? I know they're setting up for something big...but man, it's taking awhile to get there...
