Whatever Wednesday...err, Thursday

1.  Our dishwasher is broken.  I called last Wednesday.  I called again on Saturday.  A repairman is coming on this SATURDAY.
We have this knack for finding the world's worst property managers.  It took them 6 days to decide what to do.  Because I suppose broken dishwashers sometimes fix themselves, and all.

2.  I have a problem and it's called paisley.

I bought new bedding for the guest room over the weekend.

Which reminded me of the pillows I've bought recently.

Which reminded me of the blanket and plates I've had for awhile.

Which reminded me of my new-ish placemats.

Which made me excited for the new planner I've ordered....in paisley.

3.  I've been using Burt's Bees facewash for sensitive skin and I love it.  Best facewash I've ever found. It barely has a smell, so you know it's cleaning, not just scrubbing and leaving residue.

4.  I think Scout is going to be a superhero for Halloween.  I'm going to make him a cape.  Alright, I'm going to buy him a cape.

5.  Are you watching Breaking Bad?  It's about to give me a heart attack.  On that note, Dexter was super boring on Sunday.  Expect for Quinn/Deb.  I like them together.

6.  *THANK YOU to everyone who is joining in with our Skirtember Challenge!  The 2nd link-up will be on Monday (and yes, I am still wearing skirts...most days).*

7. I am half asleep/barely functioning.  I haven't worked this hard since...maybe 2010?  Being a first-year teacher (again) is no joke.

I'm not going to see a weekend again for a very long time.
(Just keeping it honest...I'm glad to have a job again!)

  7. I think our property managers must be related. Our let us live with heat that barely worked in the dead of winter in Minnesota...for a MONTH. I guess he was busy keeping warm.

  8. Paisley is great. Obviously, you know that. I really can't wait to see Scout in his costume!

Also, I started watching Breaking Bad. It's amazing.

  9. Oh yes, I love paisley. I tried to convince Mike to buy paisley for our guest room, and he looked at me like I was crazy. I might meet him in the middle with some paisley throw pillows. I cannot wait to see Scout's costume!!!

  10. I have a few paisley shirts, so I don't blame you, it's a pretty pattern! I'm still wearing dresses--on days when I'm home alone I'm wearing super old sundresses to save my nicer ones for when I'm leaving the house....turns out that I probably could live in dresses...

  11. Paisley reminds me of high school... I had EVERYTHING paisley in the late 80's... what goes around, comes around.

I'm loving Skirtember... I'm on day #8 of skirt wearing for the month :)

  13. I think Scout will make an adorable super hero.

I hear you on feeling like a first year teacher again. My advantage is that I'm doing this with 6th graders. For example, right now, we finished our lesson so they're reading or writing....QUIETLY. :) I'm left with time to read my blogs!

  14. I've been wondering how work has been going! I have a friend whose husband is starting his first teaching job EVER, and she said he's up late every night and works all weekend trying to get everything done. Here's hoping your transition becomes a little more smooth! :)

  15. I see no problem with your paisley love... Because if I did, then I'd have to take issue with my "black and white geometric design" love and that's something I'm just not ready to face yet!
