A 23 day weekend

...isn't nearly long enough, right? I swear, the longer the break, the more pronounced those Sunday Scaries are.

We have been going out in the snow.

I have wasted way too much time messing around with sourdough in the last week. I don't recommend falling down the rabbit hole. It's probably not worth it.

This crippled the county and I really think trash pickup is delayed indefinitely at this point.

These blocks are their favorite toy. They cannot get enough.

Some sort of chew thing

The only tree I set up this year. I keep saying "next year will be different" and that's been like 7 years now.

Me, putting away Christmas stuff (I did do the trees in the kids' rooms) and resetting the house.

I came back and the Keurig wouldn't work. And then I tried to use our Nespresso machine (it was a Mueller) and it wouldn't work (spoiler: Scott ended up taking it apart and there was a problem with the water intake and the motor so we threw it out). And so I was using the regular coffeepot, and still am.
The Keurig could be fixed, thankfully. There was just air in the water lines. But now I don't like the K-Cups we have so I think I will just let Scott use them up and then maybe I'll buy myself a new Nespresso machine (a different brand) for Valentine's Day.
Long story not short.

Everything I hauled back and unloaded from the car (including some old cookbooks I wanted to try some recipes out of). Every year, I say I'm not doing this trip again and every year...I do the trip again.

Letting the dogs swim.

Now Wells wants a Nintendo for his birthday after playing at his aunt and uncle's house.

Sutton was not interested in Moana 2 (at all) so she spent the movie "playing" in the lobby.

This is where Scout napped on Christmas morning.

Scott's note from Santa

Santa came to Pennsylvania

Blurry action shots only

Taking the opportunity to use some playdoh because I surely don't buy it

Scott forgot the dog collars so I had to go make them new tags. I'm sure they're embarrassed to wear these after that game the other day.

Thoroughly enjoyed the chance to eat Froot Loops in the hotel.

I didn't take these pictures with the idea of printing them for an album or uploading them to Facebook (do people even do that anymore?) or even putting them on Instagram. Just simply documenting what we've been up to for the last month.
(I hear it's supposed to be really cold at the beginning of this week so maybe I can squeak one more day out. Although, I'd much rather go back today, a Monday, than try to get back in a routine on a Thursday or Friday..that'd be just a babysitting service, not a real day at school.)
