5 Friday Favorites 7/8

I meant to finish another post or two this week and just did not.

However, to clarify: Nope, we do not have any kind of retail pharmacy within a 25 mile radius. If I'm not buying medicine on Amazon or at Walmart, I've been known to make a stop at the Dollar Store, because we do have one of those every 2.8 miles. No CVS. No Walgreens. No nothing.

1. Wells' birthday is this weekend so I'm going to be both baking and decorating a cake AND trying my luck at a balloon arch tomorrow.

2. This Lemon Chicken Pasta Salad is so good. I've made it twice in the last two weeks. Very easy too. I leave out the artichokes because I don't think artichokes serve a purpose, like ever.

3. In addition...a How Sweet Eats recipe seriously has never steered me wrong. Her recipes are overly complicated sometimes but I usually just give the simplest ones a try. This frozen gin and tonic is so good. I added fresh lime juice and it was perfection. I would add cherries next time just because cherry limeaide is a great flavor.

4.  Scott finished the light fixture for over the bar. Since the house is kind of open-ish, without a defined eating area, we put in this bar last summer for extra counter space and this really defines it now.

I seriously love Nerds. I used to eat them in copious amounts back in college.

And, maybe someday we'll do a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese:

  1. LOVE the light fixture! That is crazy that you don't have any kind of drug store. Have a good weekend!

  2. I really like that light fixture; Very pretty!

  3. Love that way the light turned out. That pasta salad sounds fantastic, going to have to try it!
