Sunday Social and Sunday Funnies 6/10

This week, I'm trying something new.  I know.  Change is hard.  But I'm going to hit up the Sunday Social happening at A Complete Waste of Make-Up and Ashley's Carnival Ride.  I love finding new blogs to stalk.  Don't you?  Link on up!

 This week's Sunday Social questions...
How did you come up with your blog name?
I swiped it from The Office.  Kelly has a sign in her annexed office that says "Kelly's Nook".  Since my name starts with a "K" too, I took the "nook" part and added a silent "k".  

What is your favorite thing about blogging?
The connections I've made.  I love talking to other bloggers!  I hope, once I get outta this icebox, I can meet some bloggers IRL.  We're headed to the midwest next folks, so watch out.  

What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now can't live without?
I've learned that I'm addicted to trying new recipes.  The more I see, the more I want to create in the kitchen.  I try something new several times a week.  Also?   Pinterest.  

Facebook or Twitter? and why?
Well, right now I don't have Twitter, so I must say Facebook.  I specifically keep it around for daily amusement.

Facebook was a godsend when we first moved to Alaska, and it's the only way I can keep up with people in Pennsylvania.  Facebook makes it possible to know what is going on within several social circles without actually talking to anyone. 
I'm looking to break into the Twitter-sphere soon, though. 

If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be?
Kate.  Middleton.

What is something you want people to know about your blog?
My About Me probably says it best.  I love finding new friends in the blogging community.  I try not to take things too seriously and I'm not afraid to make fun of myself.  I also love to make fun of Alaska.  It keeps me busy.  There's a lot to make fun of.  Here's an example of my work.

Also?  Let's just say that I am the Socially Awkward Penguin.  (Well, he's a boy.  But you get it...)
