Currently, I am the only member of this family who has not had a fever in the last 14 days so I'm assuming I know what's coming by the end of this week...
I took today off for an appointment but it looks like Sutton isn't going to daycare and will be spending my day "off" with me instead.
We did get in a trunk or treat on Friday, thank goodness.
Sutton didn't start feeling sick until Sunday morning and Scott was definitely sick all weekend.
Again, thank goodness we did those fall pictures *last* weekend. The weather was better this weekend but there's no way I could've pulled that off with a sick family.
This was a supposed to be a Friday Things post but here we are...I had conferences on Thursday night an an early dentist appointment Friday and could not pull it off.
Starting to realize that I judge whether something is feasible as if I can "pull it off". I "pulled off" a trip to Lowe's and Walmart alone yesterday because everyone else was watching TV, for example.
But here's some things...
1. The Diplomat comes back to Netflix for season 2 on October 31st. It's been over a year since I watched season 1. Such a good show if you like long-form political dramas.
2. Yellowstone comes back to Paramount+ November 10th. I don't remember when we finished the previous season. Which means I also don't remember what happened at the end of the last season. I just know I have disliked Casey's wife since the beginning of the show and that feeling gets stronger with each passing season.
In addition, if you are a GG fan (GG = Gossip Girl, not Gilmore Girls), it's coming back onto Netflix October 29th. I love a good rewatch and that show is one of my favorites.
I never did finish this season of Love is Blind. I'll get to it...I think I'm 3 episodes in.
3. The Lioness is back on Paramount+. This show is so good. Amazing cast. If you like Jack Ryan, this is similar. It's also made by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) and MTV (who does Mayor of Kingstown). Cannot recommend it enough.
4. Penn State won Saturday and remains undefeated. They play Ohio State at home this weekend and there's a lot of election superstition attached to the game. We will see.
Unfortunately the Chiefs won as well yesterday. I realized that no one around here watches college football, which is weird. They all just love the Chiefs. They don't even like Missouri, which is in the SEC. They just don't follow it.
5. I was going to get all political here on #5 but I'm tired. Oh, never mind:
6. I just think we need to realize that the uninformed voter will kill us all if given the chance without even second-guessing...the level of ignorance in our society is crushing. I am open and available for any and all political questions on any topic. I can't physically drag anyone to the polls because I don't vote in Missouri but I can help anyone understand why a vote for the Republican party is the best choice for anyone and everyone at this point. The Democrats are offering you nothing of value. (If you think there is something there, tell me what it is!). I just keep thinking that if we vote Donald Trump into a second term, we don't just get him, we get J.D. Vance, RFK Jr., Vivek Ramaswamy, Tulsi Gabbard...smart and valuable politicians who have plans to get our country back on track.
