A typical two-day weekend.

Sometimes I cannot make it home from work quickly enough on Fridays. Just because I want to not be at work and I want to be making forward progress toward relaxation.

Me and my ginger friend. In my new vest that I wear every.single.day.

Scott had a thing after work Friday, so I ate sweet potato fries and scrambled eggs for dinner and did some laundry and read a bit and caught up on a few blogs. I was asleep by 9:00. I watched a few episodes of One Day at a Time also.

On Saturday, I watched two episodes of Fargo, finished a book, graded some papers, finished all the laundry, ate macaroni and cheese for lunch, walked the dogs once, and then we went out to dinner with some friends. Flatiron's, as usual, was good. But no pictures because that's weird when you're with people you don't know that well. Or even with people you do, right?

Sunday. Watched the news for the first time in a few days. Then I went grocery shopping, cleaned things up, did some yoga...generally puttered away Sunday while sinking into the usual depression that would accompany an impending Monday. Fantastic, right?

Here's something to motivate you..I mean, if it motivates me, it may do the same for you.

..because...

...however...

Cheers.

  1. I went to brunch with my sister yesterday...it was for her friend's bday, but she didn't know anyone else so I went with, and at first we felt like the odd ladies out, and then....I wanted to take a photo and internally panicked...will they think I'm weird? I didn't do it, p.s. hahaha

  5. I never take pictures when I'm out with other people. It just feels weird.

I feel the same way about Sundays...I'm usually fine in the morning and then by mid-afternoon, the misery starts growing, haha.

  9. Oh my goodness, I love my job, but even then, there is something so awful about Sunday evening when that dread sets in.... Oh sigh.... At least it's almost Tuesday now! Which is almost Wednesday!

  10. You mention not watching the news for a few days. My mom is so funny. She says that she knows the exact time that her nightly news shows the sports, and she only turns it on for the 7-10 minutes of sports updates. ha.
