T.V. Friday

1.  On weekend mornings, Scott often leaves to go hunting around 4am.  For reasons I cannot explain, Scout will cry/bark/whine for the next 30 minutes. So much so that I have to GET OUT OF BED, pick him up, turn on the t.v., and wait for him to fall back asleep.  I mean, he can whine all day if he wants; that's fine.  But when I'm trying to go back to sleep and he's 6 feet away, I cannot go back to sleep.  On Saturday morning, we watched a DVR'd Homeland rerun and then on Sunday (at 4am) we watched Friday night's ANTM.  Scout must be a Top Model fan.  He fell asleep again pretty quickly.  I will fess up to that being the only reality show I have ever followed.  I've missed like the last 8 seasons though.  I found the current one by chance on a random Friday night weeks ago.

Someone waiting at the door in an irrationally panicked state.

2.  We started American Horror Story on Netflix.  I like it.  I think it's creepy and surprisingly suspenseful.  Scott's in this phase of claiming he's not a fan. He'll say it's "dumb" and judge me for watching it. But then he asks if we're going to watch the next episode... Have you seen it?

3.  Speaking of t.v., who's excited for Homeland?  This might be the show that Scott likes the most...I take credit, of course, because I introduced him to it.  I love it.

And let's not even talk about how Sunday night will be filled with both wonder and sadness, with Breaking Bad ending.  Speaking of depression...

4.  Dexter.  Oh, Dexter. My official thought is that the ending was just about as depressing as a show could possibly get.  I mean, geez.  If I wouldn't have had a place to go Monday morning, I probably would've laid in bed all day, feeling sorry for myself simply because that episode happened and I watched it.  Meh.

5.  So random...and this has nothing to do with anything, but I'll just say it:  If you use Comic Sans as a font on anything ever (and you are not an 11 year old girl), you are wrong.

  1. LOVE Homeland! It's such a complex story line. I kind of hate Claire Danes though.

  3. Already sad about BB's ending. I am going to miss it! And LOL about Comic Sans. Some of the professors I work with still think it's appropriate. Um, no.

  6. I've been wanting to watch American Horror Story but I'm afraid to. I'm a big ol' chicken when it comes to anything like that.

  7. When does Mad Men come back? I need my weekly dose of 60s fashion.

I totally used to love Comic Sans font. I often used it when I first started teaching 1st grade because it was "kid-like". Now, I hate it. Century Gothic is my font of choice. :)

  8. OMG Scout! That picture is too adorable. I'm sure you find it less adorable considering what time it was taken. I used to watch ANTM in college when they'd do those day long marathons. My roommate and I would have all these intentions of being productive and then....nada. Ha! I need to get on watching Homeland. I know it's a show I'd like--I just get overwhelmed sometimes with the number of shows I try to keep up with which ends up resulting in me giving up and not following anything. It's filmed where I used to live (Charlotte) and would often see some of the filming! I hope you get some sleep this weekend!

  9. I use comic sans on some handouts/assignments at school. Somehow I think it makes them look less hard or something. We have the two seasons of homeland on DVD and they are super addicting.

  10. I hated American Horror Story when I started watching it. But, I stayed with it, and by episode four or so I was hooked. I liked the second season better than the first, and the third looks like it'll be a good one.

  11. Haha, so funny story; I am helping throw a surprise party for a friend with her mom. We ordered a pdf from etsy for the invite and I hated it all because of comic sans. The mom of course didn't care, and I edited almost the whole thing and re-did it with more modern, clean fonts. It was a pain but I couldn't allow my friend's party invite to go to people like that! I sound legit insane, lol.

  13. There are so many things.

Your sweet little guy is totally training you for babies. As I, too, was up at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday waiting for a little cutie to fall back asleep.

We haven't gotten to talk about Dex yet. What WAS that??!! I just looked at Micah when the credits started rolling and let out an f-bomb. I mean, seriously... so disappointing.

    The Comic Sans pledge. Yes.
