I was tricked by a sign...I thought they were $10. They were $19.50. I wasn't happy.
These shorts were $10 though. And this black tank was about $4 last fall. Old Navy does have its place when it comes to clearance.
Shorts/Sandals/Tank: Old Navy // Sweater: Macy's?
Also, I need a haircut. I found a salon that does cuts for $23. A salon. I'm intrigued.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
So the same day I had my bad Old Navy sandal-trickery experience, we were at Scott's mother's house. She made honey butter. I fell in love with it. I mean, you'd think, "It's so simple. It can't be THAT good." But it is. Spread it on a piece of cornbread, a bagel, or (bestillmyheart) a biscuit. It keeps well in the fridge, but I don't think it'll last long.
Honey Butter
1 stick butter, softened (not melted)
1/2 cup honey (I like a lot. You can use less.)
1 1/2 t. cinnamon
Mix the butter, honey, and cinnamon together well. I just used a fork. You can add more cinnamon (or even some nutmeg) to taste.
Store in the fridge, but let soften before serving. It's best on warm bread! The only thing that kept me from eating it with a spoon (frosting-style) was the fact that it's all butter. At least frosting is primarily sugar.
Cute sandals! I hate being misled by signs when shopping. I made honey butter this weekend too, it's so weird that you posted this today. I like that you added cinnamon!
ReplyDeletelove the color of your shorts!
ReplyDeleteI've never bought shoes at Old Navy. Those shorts are super cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with your shorts (and really your whole outfit). I definitely need to make that butter!! There are so many "butters" that use tree nuts, so I love that I can actually make this one :)
ReplyDeleteI love those shorts, so cute!!! :) Old Navy does have the clearance stock done very well.
ReplyDeleteHoney butter takes me back to my Fresh Choice days as a teen. I'd slather their bread with it. YUM!
ReplyDeleteI love the sandals! Did they end up hurting? Also that recipe looks delicious

I am totally feeling that outfit and your sandals! I want them!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hate it when I find an item of clothing, in my size, in a clearance section, only to have it ring up full price... TORTURE!!!
That honey butter sounds absolutely heavenly. Mmmmmm....
ReplyDeleteI make it for dipping soft pretzel in, yum!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with your bright shorts! Just like those neon yellow pants ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it's ironic that I'm now jealous of your weather. It was cold enough for a jacket and boots today (high 50s), and it's May 28th. I'm about to cry.
umm yuum! Now I want to make honey butter. Love that outfit, so cute! But, I would definitely be afraid of the sandals. I'm with you on the blister part. Hopefully they are the exception to the rule.
ReplyDeleteI like those shorts. I don't know if I can do bright shorts since all my tops are bright too... I love Old Navy, though.
ReplyDeleteA salon for $23!? I hope they do a good job, but if they do, that's amazing. I need a haircut (and I'm considering going back to brunette because I'm sick of paying $120 every few months for my highlights) but I'm dreading the $100 tab. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the sandals! Blisters suck though.
Cute, cute shorts! Found you at WIWW.
ReplyDeleteYou always have cute outfits. Maybe you should be picking out my clothes.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that honey butter looks amazing!
Mmm.... honey butter sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love Old Navy purely for their sales! So many times I have bought something that ended up being much cheaper that I thought when I checked out! But when the opposite happens - ugh. But the sandals are so cute!
I hate it when stores are confusing with their sales and signs and pricetags and something turns out to not be such a good deal. :( But Old Navy clearance can definitely come in handy. I rarely find anything I like there, but Angel is always finding stuff there. I swear, he's like a blogger. Earlier this week, he wanted to buy his 3rd Old Navy cardigan.
ReplyDelete$23 for a haircut sounds reasonable to me, maybe just a tad pricey, even. But then I'm super cheap with my hair and I think prices around here are probably on the low side.
Yum!! That looks so good!
ReplyDeleteLove the choice of nail color - so gorgeous!! It goes very well with your vibrant colored outfit <3
ReplyDeleteIf you have a sec, hope you can drop by my blog too and read my latest: www.fashchronicles.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteOh baby those sexy painted toes make my dick nice and hard, I want you to jack me off with those pink toes and then after I'm gonna cum all over those pretty toes
