'Twas the week before Easter...

...and this is what I wore.  An outfit well-suited for October, not almost-April. In fact, this Eddie Bauer/Gap ensemble is straight-up from fall/winter collections.  Nothing springy happening around here.  This could be my next Christmas card picture.

He kept telling me to smile.  So I refused to look at the camera.
I'm not bitter.  Really.  Not.    at.     all.

It is what it is, I guess.  I seem to remember this same nonsensical snow phenomenon happening last year.

Shirt/Scarf:  Eddie Bauer // Skirt: Gap Outlet // Boots: Steve Madden

Also...

1.  If you want to win giftcards, you might want to head over to My Three Bittles.  Amber (a fellow-AK-surviving army wife) is having quite the 1,000 follower giveaway.  Just sayin'...

2.  Did anyone else want to give Daryl a big ol' hug on Sunday night?  Oh that poor boy...I won't be a spoiler in case you haven't seen it, but I felt awful for him.  And Scott's reaction?  Well, he fell asleep in the middle of the episode.

3.  What are you doing for Easter?  I'm currently in "Operation Eat all the food so we don't have to throw it away" mode.  We might just have pizza.
Got a good Easter dinner recipe to share?  I'm thinking this Carrot Cake Roll might be nice for dessert (a.k.a. TWD/GoT/The Bible t.v. watching time).
For real. We'll probably just eat pizza.
Kind of a step up from the jelly bean binge of Easter 2012, right?

  1. Oh my goodness!! I didn't get to watch TWD on Sunday so Rick and I watched it Monday night! I had to stay away from Twitter because I didn't want to know what happened. I totally cried when Daryl started crying. It was so sad but then I felt like when he ended it he was kind of taking out some aggression that he had been holding in from Merle. I can't wait for the final episode this week. It's going to be intense!

  2. I love that scarf! This outfit is cute. And TWD... I spaced out. When the gov did what he did I completely forgot what happens to them. So sad. And I agree with Kim, there was definitely some pent up agression there.

  3. Ugh! Snow! You look adorable in that outfit, though. I'm with you on the pizza thing for Easter. We'll probably do the same thing--with the dough recipe you shared! Hope you thaw out soon!!

  5. Love this look! If it makes you feel any better, it's cold here in Florida, too. Of course, my definition of cold has changed a bit since my days in AK ;) It's 47 this mornin'

  7. As usual, love your outfit...and as usual, wishing we were not still wearing sweaters and scarves and boots...sigh.

    Jelly beans are my favorite...

  8. Pizza sounds better than my final cleanse day meals (just juice and soup, which is perfect when I don't feel like chewing.) I am also going to be alone since hubby decided that was the best weekend to go on a trip to NYC without me. I want to say that's rude but I just got a new job so I shouldn't be traveling that much. I have no family here, so I might feel lonely. I don't plan to go nuts on jelly beans and other easter deliciousness until Monday. 11. 1. LOVE that outfit.
    2. It's not springy here either. AT ALL. On the weather the other day, they stated that our seasonal average is 51. We haven't even been close. It's *supposed* to be 52 on Easter Sunday. I'll believe it when I see...errr...feel it.
    3. I think pizza is a great idea for Easter. It'll definitely be a step up from the jelly bean binge.

  12. Loooooooooooooove your skirt. And the color combination too!!

Gah. Look at that snow. THANKFULLY the snow is sloooooowly melting over here in MN. What is left over is a bunch of SNIRT (snow + dirt) It's gross. But it sure as hell didn't keep me from wearing my white pants for some spring inspiration today :-)

We don't have much planned for Easter. For SOME random reason, I always always always feel a little down because I miss my family. The last two years I have distracted myself with a long run outdoors... Let's hope that the weather lets me do that this Sunday too! ;-)

  13. Ooh super cute outfit! I totally wanted to bear hug Daryl after Sunday's episode. So sad for him.

I like your plan for easter more than I like mine. I'll actually be moving all our crap into the apartment & probably having pizza or fast food for dinner :/
