So. I read this in an hour and a half. It was my end-of-the-year-use-up-the-bonus-points-from-the-book-order treat that I gave myself. Because really, who likes to pay the price for hardcover books?? Not me.
I love this author. Love her! She writes the kind of books I wish I would've had to read when I was 10 years old. (Who am I kidding.. I was too distracted with my Sweet Valley Twins to ever notice any other books.)
I've made my way through her other books in the last two years and when I heard she had ANOTHER Newbery Honor Book out this year, I needed to find it.
Such a great adventure story. I couldn't put it down. When I came to last page, I kept flipping back and forth because I thought, "That can't possibly be it?!!?". I was in Starbucks talking to myself when this happened. I might've gotten some questionable looks. I hope there's a sequel. Sometimes she writes sequels.
