S & T Thursday. 7/17

1. I'm going back to this model of Stuff and Things Thursday. I feel like I have a lot of random to share but not enough for individual posts.

2. Homeschool update: I'm hunting for a homeschool planner. I want a digital spreadsheet I can just keep on my computer and print out. I told myself that the second half of July would be for planning out the first few months of school. I think we'll start mid-August. I did register with the state of Kansas, which is almost funny to have to do. I believe I found a co-op but that doesn't start until after Labor Day. I bought the curriculum that'll last us through Christmas, at least, months ago, so it'll be weird going into August without spending $$$ on school supplies.

3. As usual, I posted funny things on Monday and then One Year of Maverick on Tuesday. I woke up Tuesday morning to the sound of Mav eating the remote control...his second in a week. At least this one still works. Scott had to order a replacement for the other TV.

4. We went to The Rabbit Hole in Kansas City on Tuesday. There were too many good photo ops, really, but the kids never stopped moving. It was a neat experience and I definitely recommend it to anyone in the area (I haven't shared my summer bucket list yet, but it was on there!).

5. A trip to Scheel's was also on my list of things to do so we took my parents. I was disappointed they took the Founding Fathers out but this time Wells was big enough to ride the ferris wheel.

Wells liked it and I did not. I can't do heights and for some reason I thought this would be okay because it was inside a building but my hands were sweating.

She liked it.

6. We went to a Royals game and Wells decided he was going to be a Royals fan and we *specifically* went to the Royals vs. Pirates because it's the Pittsburgh Pirates and we used to take Wells to Pirates games when he was a baby.

Anyway, fun fact: Scott's half-brother's son (so his nephew?) played for the Royals.  And that's just one of the baseball players in his family. This is like when I learned that Scott's aunt was a professional ballerina.
