Products lately...

1. Beauty Counter Vitamin C Serum. This is my holy grail product. I have purchased it once and then was gifted it for Christmas again. It's the best feeling, best smelling serum I've come across. Cannot recommend enough. It's just a punch to the wallet, so I try to alternate with something less expensive.

2.  Beauty Counter Overnight Resurfacing Peel. Another holy grail product. I use it every other night. It makes my skin so soft. If you're going to try Beauty Counter, this is what I would try first.

3. Laniege moisturizing cream. My mom gave me this at Christmas. It's rich without being greasy. It's perfect for dry spots on your face after washing...I admit, I don't use moisturizer and just generally use one of the those serums up there. This is light and doesn't make me break out so it's perfect. You don't need a lot either to make it effective.

4. Beauty Counter Reflect Effect Mask. This was an impulse buy. I have few words to describe it. It's absolutely amazing. That's all. If you are looking for a mask, this is it. Ugh. I hate that I bought it and I hate that I love it. It smooths like some sort of filter and makes you glow.

5. Loreal Extraordinary Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. I've really struggled with finding shampoo/conditioner I like enough to use for more than a week. It's been ongoing since...August? I decided Olaplex shampoo/conditioner wasn't for me. I tried some cheaper brands, like Herbal Essences again, and then basically wanted to throw up (pregnancy). And so I grabbed this when I was at Walmart one day. I LOVE it. It's a mild scent, makes my hair feel very soft and clean, and I do use it every day. It's also super cheap. (I actually used Olaplex again the other day just to switch it up...my hair felt and looked like straw in comparison to the results I get from the Loreal Extraordinary Oil.)

6. La-Roche Posay Pigment Clar facewash. I tend to get a few melasma spots on my cheek when I'm pregnant. They do fade after, but I thought this would be a good option to try since I needed a new facewash anyway. I love this brand a lot. It's all pretty much fragrance free and very clarifying in that you don't feel like you have some sort of residue leftover. I use it in the shower and/or when I wash make-up off. Definitely recommend.

  1. I got a sample size of the overnight peel and charcoal mask free with my first order. I like them. I've also been using the gel toner, but I don't love it. Initially I bought the foundation since it was supposed to be light... it felt SO heavy. I returned it for the tinted moisturizer. I don't love it. I'm chalking it up to Beauty Counter just isn't for me.

  2. I haven't tried any of the BeautyCounter stuff. I have heard great things about their vitamin C Serum. And the other two products you mentioned sound good too. Maybe one day. I love La-Roche Posay cleansers. I use their gentle hydrating cleanser every morning.
