5 Friday Recommendations

1. This week's sheet pan dinner:

Much to Scott's indifference (not really, he just likes to make fun of chicken sausage), I put this together last night. Yukon gold potatoes, Montreal steak seasoning, olive oil >> 475 degrees for 20 minutes. Add sliced chicken sausage, diced zucchini, halved cherry tomatoes and toss with a bit more olive oil >> 20 more minutes. I almost always top with some shredded parmesan after I turn the oven off.

Even Wells ate the potatoes only it.

If you're not doing sheet pan dinners, you're missing out! I do one a week, usually. It's so easy.

2. Also, I'd like to formally recommend this protein powder. Scott grabbed it at Costco and it was cheap and it is likely the best one we've ever tasted. We use it every day (and will probably never be able to find it again). I think it was $28?

3.  And this creamer. This one is the splash of fall for us non-pumpkin lovers.

4.  I finished this book and I loved it.

And good thing too: I'd been on the wait list since Feb-ru-ar-y.

5. This facewash. I had a weird sunburn/dry skin issue on my face earlier this week. I think my sunscreen just didn't work, to be honest. I had left it sitting outside for a few days...I don't know? But my usual Cetaphil was burning the red, irritated skin, so I pulled this out and it was like a miracle. I haven't used it in awhile but I've learned the secret is just to get a good lather. Highly recommend if you have uber-sensitive skin!

Plans for the weekend?

Fall decorating.
It's supposed to be 95 and humid here.

  4. Vanicream is something I recommend to anyone having skin problems. It is always so gentle and universal. Chris always makes fun of chicken sausage too, but it is just so easy to throw with basically anything. I do it in a skillet a lot with onions, peppers and sweet potatoes.

  5. That sheet pan looks yummy. I need to make one. I always think they look so good, but it's not something I have ever tried. That creamer looks like a delicious one too! I just shared one I am loving over on my blog today as well, LOL!
