10 months of Wells

I am committed to this chair and making sure I get a picture each month with him in it.

This is what it looks like now though:

I don't have a whole lot to say for 10 months because the pictures tell the story.
He crawls everywhere.
He stands and pulls up on everything.
He eats anything and everything I give him, save for what he throws on the floor for the dogs.
He drinks formula when he feels like it and has no bottle schedule.
He prefers to drink his formula in the middle of the night.
He loves water and drinks a ton of it out of any vessel I provide. My Hydroflask, a sippy cup, a regular cup, a bottle, etc.

Also, personality-wise, everyone comments on how pleasant he is and sometimes they ask if he's always that way. I mean, I guess? Truthfully, I've never been around a baby for more than a few hours at a time, so I had no idea if he was pleasant or not. Like, literally, never been around a baby other than the occasional baby-sitting job.

I think he's pretty pleasant.

Here are some things we really, really like though:

Bath toys from Target. These started out as bath toys but he just really liked them. So I dried them out and now they're chew toys.

Ikea highchair. This might be my favorite baby buy. I clean this thing three times a day. I don't know that anything can make that task enjoyable, but it probably doesn't get easier than this.

Skip Hop tub. He loves/loved this tub. I just packed it up last week because he was starting to really climb out of it and would drop his toys off the side on purpose so he could lean out and look for them. I got this blue mat for the bottom of the tub and while I haven't tried suctioning it down completely, it gives him something cushy to sit on.

Playtex sippy cups. My mom got him this more traditional sippy cup and it's his preferred cup. I think because it doesn't have handles and he can understand how to pick it up the way he picks up bottles. He holds bottles really well by himself if he's laying down and is just starting to get the hang of picking them up while he's sitting.

Any good and necessary first birthday gift ideas???

Also, I'm signing off for the rest of the week because we have a busy schedule ahead of us. Hopefully I'll be back at it next week!

Also, I didn't watch because whatever, but this ^^^

  1. I ended monthly pictures at 6 months because of escape-baby. haha! Half a year is good, right? My parents got the Ikea high chair last month (since we often spend time at their house and my sister babysits a one year old full-time, they figured it was about time). And it's WAY easier to clean than the high chair we have, I really like it.

  3. I like the idea of fun gifts they'll use awhile. Cozy coupe, play kitchen, playhouse, fun tent, or a push car.

  4. I also bet he would love a water table.
