It's *only* Thursday, yet it's already Thursday. It snuck up on me.
Here's a quite funny recap of The Bachelor. Sholphin LOL.
Aside from doing lots of schoolwork and it being freezing cold and my Christmas decorations still being up, I'm not sure where to go with a post today.
Yesterday was the first day the kids were back in school, and I realized by 6pm last night that I was utterly exhausted. It is exhausting to hear your own voice all day long. Did you ever think about that? This may be why I don't leave the house on weeknights...
Also, I feel like me/we are staring down so many decisions about what's next army-wise (and therefore, for my own job) that it's hard to focus and this is why I do things like watch The Bachelor. It's mindless distraction.
Scott saw a bit of it from where he was working at the table...
"What the %&$#?!", "THIS is everything that's wrong with girls!", and "I literally want to kill myself right now" are just a few of the comments he had. Monday nights are going to be really exciting for the next several weeks. He has no idea that this is what I do now. Deployment did this to me. I am a member of #bachelornation.
Tree. Still up.

I did finally get my Christmas decorations down yesterday. But, my house looks like a bomb exploded in it. I tell myself that I've washed the dishes and done the laundry, and all that other stuff is just "mess" that will get cleaned up in time. But, when I say "mess", I mean "pigsty".
ReplyDeleteI came home this week and MFD had taken down the last of the Christmas stuff...which actually means most of it is just strewn around the basement right now. DELIVER ME.
ReplyDeleteAll of our Christmas stuff comes down on New Year's Day. And while my house looks naked, I'm glad it's done.
ReplyDeleteUm...yea, all my Christmas ish is still up. We were on vacay last week, and to be honest, I'm still wiped from it (I also have a cold, maybe that's why) and Jason is finishing his last week of work, so I am extra unmotivated to do it myself...this weekend (I hope).
ReplyDeleteSHOLPHIN!! That will just never get old.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I just lol'd at Scott's reaction to The Bachelor. TOO funny!
ReplyDeleteWe took down our Christmas stuff the day we got home from vacation haha.
ReplyDeleteI cracked up at your comment about #bachelornation and your husband having no idea what's in store the next couple of weeks! Totally agree with how exhausting it is to hear yourself. All. Day. Long. I'm right there with ya!
ReplyDeleteI took down Christmas on the 28th, mostly because I'm just not a huge fan of the holidays and I had time to put it away nicely. I didn't even decorate until like 2 days before Christmas. I think going back to work after a break is always hard. Like, I want to feel recharged, but it takes me a little while to get back into the swing of things. I hope you get everything figured out army-wise soon, being in limbo is so stressful and exhausting.
ReplyDeleteI took christmas down yesterday because we returned to school today and I didnt want to deal with them because yes I'm exhausted! And cold!!
ReplyDeleteWe normally keep the tree up as long as we can, but we had to take it down this year. It's a bummer because I DO love the lights. :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I'd hate hearing my voice all day, every day. Sigh.
