Confessions and Things

The dogs generally settle in for the night before I do. Wherever they fall asleep on the bed, I pick the other side of the bed to sleep on.  Sometimes I pick them up and move them but Scout really hates that. He'll growl and crawl under the bed. They never ever slept on the bed before Scott deployed last year. Then they started (on their own) sleeping with me and now they won't leave the king-sized comfort.

Also, it happened with the dog food again. I don't understand how they go through it so quickly. Also, how am I so bad at this? But I would like to thank my former principal, who told me about Chewy.com. It is the best invention ever.

I don't like #tbt posts. On blogs, I think it's okay. But when everyone is posting #tbt on Facebook like they just discovered the invention of the hashtag, it gets old. Same with TimeHop. It's awesome that you're reminded of times gone by, but I don't need to know.

I have a document with Laura Ingalls Wilder's family tree laying on my nightstand. It had been in a book I'm currently re-reading and there it sits for weeks now. While this seems perfectly normal on some levels, it's just really weird too.

I had an idea for 2-3 new recipes over the weekend and I just never made them. I had the ingredients. It wouldn't have been hard.  But expending effort is sometimes not worth it.

I deleted the Class Dojo app from my phone. I'm enabling students by answering homework questions they already know the answer to at 8pm. My goal was to make information accessible to parents. It's gone too far.

I am counting down the days to the end of the school year.

Cheers to the end of March!

  1. Amen to the countdown to the end of the year! I think I have 35 days left. I agree with you about the Time Hop thing on FB. I find it highly annoying. Have a good one!

  2. I do not understand why some people share time hop shit every day. WHY.

  3. I'm okay with people sharing their timehop every now and then, but everyday gets a little old.

  4. Somehow I missed the Timehop train, and for that I'm grateful. There are some things I don't want/need to be reminded of. I like the #tbt of really old pictures; the ones of the person last week are not a throwback, and annoy me.

  5. I don't mind the Timehop or FB memories every now and then, but everyday is overkill! My dogs always jump in bed when Jason isn't home - they know I'm the weak one, haha. But when he is home, they don't attempt it.

  6. I don't mind the throwback photos or timehop shares on FB if it's not like every day or every week. Nobody needs to see childhood photos everyday-haha That sounds bad, but it's true.

  7. i check timehop everyday, and sometimes i share it with people if it involves them, but rarely on social media.. i do tbt posts sometimes though... sorry. haha. i got so bad with cat food and kitty litter that KC had to take over the buying of it, because i'd forget. 3 cats go through food really fast.
