A television mood

It's not a secret that I love t.v.  I mean, movies I can take or leave.  Preferably leave actually because I don't like going to the theater.  I like sitting on my own couch.  T.V. is at home, so it's perfect for my introverted self.  Since we've been in Colorado, I've made my way through Gossip Girl (twice…background noise whilst painting the living room), The Office (for about the 5th time), the first half of Once Upon a Time (I'd already watched it all once), New Girl, and the list goes on.

That being said, there's a lot of shows I just can't do and I've gone into this in greater detail before. Let's add to that list…

I tried Gilmore Girls last week and it was okay.  I think I got to season one, episode 12.   Then I stopped.

I tried Twin Peaks and gave up on that after one episode.  I hear about these shows from reliable sources (i.e. people whose taste I trust) and I always feel like I'm missing something if I'm disappointed.

This past weekend, I started Friday Night Lights again because #1:  I was painting again so I just needed familiar noise.  #2  It's fall.  #3  I love the reference to FNL in New Girl.  "Things to do other than have sex:  Watch Friday Night Lights".  I've been thinking about it since that New Girl episode weeks ago.

Also, Tim Riggins.  Sometimes, when Scott's not around, I tell Jett his name was supposed to be TimRiggins.  I think he understands.

Also, let's talk about Homeland.  I have a feeling it will be a fantastic season.  These were our thoughts.

Oh Rupert.  We both love you.

And The Walking Dead.  I haven't watched the new episode yet.  Or the new episode of Once Upon a Time.  There's only so much time in a given Sunday night!

Or, rather, the reason is because I was watching The Affair and it was so spectacularly wonderful that I didn't have the patience for zombies after a storyline like that.  It's one of those stories that gives you bits and pieces of information, from different perspectives, just a little at a time.  Those are the best kind.   Did you watch?

Thank goodness there's no school today.  Plenty of time to get all caught up on things.  Like grading papers.  And t.v.
