Cah-nah-dah

So Day 1 really became Palmer, Alaska to Tok, Alaska.  "A" is Tok. It was only about 7 hours, including gas and lunch stops. "B" is obviously our destination (I'm smiling just thinking about it.)

Day 2 brought us to the Yukon Territory.

Yaaaaay.

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures.  For simplicity's sake, let's just say it all looks like this.

Tuesday night, we stayed in Teslin (100 miles south of Whitehorse), right on the lake.

We stayed at this place...

...and I found a purse in the gift shop.

My first thought was "Longchamp!"...and then I opened it up.

Some dumb animal symbol.  The purse is ruined.

We spent the evening watching Duck Dynasty.

We spent most of Wednesday driving through blizzard conditions.  Which just reiterated the whole, "If I never see snow again, it'll be too soon" thing.

This is a mild picture.  I didn't want to document our trudge with a truck and trailer through 5 inches of snow on the road, plus the stuff that was still coming down.

We saw a lot of these guys today.

Token wildlife picture.
This part of the world is interesting because there's only so many gas stations, so many towns, and so many non-weirdos.  We're carrying extra gas with us and we plan our route so we can stay in certain places.

We knew exactly where we didn't want to stay tonight (Wednesday), and this part of the trip is horribly boring*, so we pushed 11 hours to Ft. Nelson.

Teslin to Ft. Nelson
*I say it's "boring", but it's boring because it's all mountains and pine trees.  We just spent almost 4 years living next to some of Alaska's biggest mountains, so mountains just don't do it for us anymore.  Give me an outdoor mall instead and I'll stare at it in awe.

Tonight we ate at Boston Pizza for the second time in 2 days and tomorrow we plan to get close to Calgary.  Hopefully, we'll be in Montana by Friday!

Thank you all for your well wishes and good thoughts!  Goodness knows we seem to need them!
