High 5 for Friday

What made me happy this week?

1.  This makes me happy.
See original post here, if you want to read what link those 2 good folks were sent to.

2.  Natalie said some very nice things about me.  I'm so thankful for relationships with other bloggers.  And it's nice to know there's someone out there as annoyed with Andrea as I am...(If you're on the fence about Andrea, try to remember that time when she shot Daryl....)

3.  It's finally *warm* enough to wear shorts to the gym.  Okay, not really.  But the sunny, 30 degree weather has tricked me into thinking it's "spring".

Tell me: Do you work out in shorts, capris, or pants?  I'm in the minority at my gym.  I'm a shorts person, hands down, but it seems like everyone else is into capris.

4.  Scott has been spending most of the week at home since he's still recovering from PRK.  When I get home from work, he tells me how the house is "so empty" without me and he doesn't like "being alone in the house".  I laughed.  And chuckled.  And giggled.  And laughed some more.  And then I gave a *sigh* as I thought about the 308 days in a row that I lived here by myself.

And then I drank some wine.  High five to me, right?? I'm invaluable.

5. We're making our way through season 8 of Weeds.  This makes me happy.  And sad.  Happy because I love it.  Sad because it will be over soon.

Happy Friday!

  1. OMG...Andrea is a complete and total idiot. She should have killed the Governor when she had the chance. But now she gets to get tortured by him. Well at least that is what I think. I feel like she is trying to play "peace keeper" at the wrong time. But maybe that is because of her "lawyer" background.

What I workout in is determined by the weather. I run outside, because I don't have a treadmill or a gym membership, so it really just depends on how cold or warm it is outside. I have thunder thighs so I try to stay away from shorts to reduce on the friction. Haha!!

High Five on Wine!! I love wine! A little too much!! Haha

  2. Oh my gosh, I love looking at what people Googled to get to me! Those are fantastic. As for the shorts, I totally agree with you. They feel more... free? Maybe that's not the right word, but I feel like I can get a better workout when I can stretch my legs more.

  3. I prefer to wear shorts, but won't walk from the car to the gym in shorts if it's freezing so I wear capri/leggings type things. but as soon as it's above 40 I'll wear shorts. I HATE wearing pants to the gym. Feels so retricting! And Andrea. She's just...slow? Dumb? Currently tied up in the Governor's torture chamber? hehe.

Thank goodness for Friday. And wine.

  5. Brandon can't handle me going away either. He's like, "who will make me dinner?" I come home to him eating Mac & Cheese out of the pot in a dark house watching some action movie too loud. I'm like, I left for an hour!

  7. This reminds me I need to check and see what people have Googled lately in order to find my blog...

As far as what I wear to work out, it depends. If I'm doing a DVD/video, I wear yoga pants, because the room I work out in tends to be pretty chilly. I did just order a pair of capris, though, because I like those too.

If I'm running, I wear shorts, because I get really super hot and sweaty, and our treadmill room gets SUPER muggy.

I am SO BEHIND on TWD!!!!!!

  8. I rock the capris only because shorts tend to not stay put in the length area when I start plugging away on the elliptical... Not attractive.

  9. I wear capris to the gym, but I seem to be in the minority here because the other people at my gym are split between shorts and long pants.

  10. I'm definitely in the capri or long shorts camp. And I effing hate Andrea. Always have.

  11. 1. I don't check my searches nearly as often anymore as they always seem to call me fat in some way. The other day it said "crinkly belly". Great.
    2. I'm a shorts person when I work out. I like my legs..and pants get in the way. I'm not opposed to capris, but I only have one pair and they're hardly ever clean when I'm ready to go workout.

  12. I'm all over the place: long pants in winter, except when I run, capris right now, shorts in summer. I used to never wear shorts, and then, well. I turned 35. And now my body is it's own heater.

  13. I work out in spandex capris. Almost exclusively. Outside, inside, summer or winter.

  14. I don't work out. And I hate wearing shorts. Come to think of it, the two might be somewhat related. But when I do ride my bike for a few miles or play soccer or something active like that, I typically wear jeans. And when I do pilates/physical therapy stuff at home, I wear Pajamas. :P And when I swing dance, I wear dresses. That pretty much covers all the physical activity I do.

  15. I do own a pair of capris but I prefer to workout in pants. Blogging friends are awesome. I can't imagine giving up blogging since I've found some really cool people. You are included in the really cool people list. :)

  16. HA i love that last one. That's so weird, though....I feel like I need to start watching the walking dead to keep up with this blog. I guess you got me started on my Downton Abbey addiction too!
I'm not even going to address the weather. Just check Instagram.
I either wear running shorts, or leggings when i work out. Or, you know, gross school PE shorts.
