If only, Lady Grantham.
...when people start talking about Les Mis, I tune it out. I'm not a fan. The idea of sitting through a musical for 2 hours and 38 minutes...well, that won't be happening.
...I seem to be going through a "watch phase". Scott got me this rose-gold one for my birthday. I'm in love with it. Also, I could kill a small animal by throwing this watch at it. #multifunctional
...that this birthday card from Angi made my Friday afternoon. I'd had a rough week at school. I'm so grateful that many blog friends have become real friends.
...that I've had to completely switch around how I put in and take out the contact in my left eye. Ever since I cut the tip of my left index finger back in November, the nerve endings have been deadened. It's not sensitive enough to know its way around my eye anymore. I now use my middle finger to put my left contact in and help take it out (with the aid of my thumb). How weird is that?
...that I made Scott watch the Miss America pageant with me and we played a lovely little game of "Who's hot and why?". (We play this game often. We're so dysfunctional.) For the record, Miss Maryland was his favorite. Yaaaaaaay.
Finally, I confess that I teared up a bit during Jennifer Lawrence's Best Actress acceptance speech last night.
Happy Monday.
I want that watch. And I don't even like watches. But that one I want.
ReplyDeleteThe watch is gorgeous!! I want one! I've had to change up my contact fingers before too it's really awkward for a while and sometimes it takes me a while to change back or I never do!
ReplyDeleteI saw some pink camouflage crocks the other day and my bf thought I was weird because the first thing I said was Kristin would get a kick out of these. I almost took a picture! Then I had to explain who you were! lol! Men! Crocks are horrible and I hate to admit I own a pair for work!
i spent saturday recovering too and sunday. I'm not ready for today!! I love your watch - I want one like it!
ReplyDeleteLove your watch! I hope Matt thinks like your husband in March when my birthday rolls around, I've been eyeing a rose gold watch since the summer but I can't bring myself to splurge. Weekends should definitely be three days: Saturday would be for recovery, Sunday could be productive, and Monday would be a mix of recovering from Saturday and Sunday/preparing for the work week.
ReplyDeleteCute watch! My husband and I often talk about how much he loves Scarlett Johansen....also dysfunctional.
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing that watch haha. Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the watch! Isaiah got me a rose gold watch for Christmas last year, and I think I've worn it approximately 5 times. I do this thing where I swear I'm going to start wearing a watch, I buy one/Isaiah buys me one, and then I never wear it. I think it's partly because I have to sit and type at a computer all day every day, and a big clunky watch on my wrist gets in my way, so I end up taking it off and sticking it in my purse or whatever...which defeats the purpose of wearing it. I just need to learn to stop buying watches.
ReplyDeleteHey Kristin! I found you from Mingle Monday at Life of Meg...love your confessions. I've also recently become a watch fiend. I got a white horn Michael Kors watch for Christmas and I'm a little bit obsessed!
ReplyDeleteLove the watch and hate musicals.
ReplyDeleteI've been going through a watch phase too! I'm so picky though and I just cant find one that I absolutely love :-/ but I'm still on the hunt :-P
ReplyDeleteI love the Monday/crocs ecard, too funny :-D

Your watch is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have no desire to see Les Mis.
I want to see Les Mis. It's funny how we have so much not in common ;) lol
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about Saturday. I LIVE for Saturday so I can lay around and do nothing! I sang a few songs from Les Mis when I took voice lessons, but I never saw the show. Therefore, I don't really want to see the movie. And "J-Law", as she was called last night, made me tear up a bit, too! :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, nice multifunctional watch, I love it. And yes I loved her acceptance speech as well, she's too cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday
ReplyDeleteI used to wear watches obsessively. Then I stopped working a "real" job and I have not worn one since my last day of work. It's weird.
ReplyDeleteStopping over from Monday Mingle. Love your blog (and the design).
ReplyDeleteI'm so sensitive to watches, but I LOVE yours
Gorgeous watch! I always feel like I am just recovering on my weekend. I do want to see Les Mis, but I will probably wait until I can watch it at home and pause it when I need a break.
ReplyDeleteI dont care how great people are saying Les Mis is, I'll never watch it. Kinda seems like a downer to me. If I'm going to sit through a musical it better be awesome, like chicago.
ReplyDeletehahaha, "Who's hot and why" made me laugh so hard - you guys sound like us. We're dysfunctional too. It keeps things interesting.
