It's Ok and I'm Thankful...4/19

First off, thank you all for your concern on this lament about my thumb.  The poor-pitiful-me act is now over.  I can be so over-dramatic.  This week's affliction??  I did something to my ring finger knuckle and it's all swollen.  And all cut up from me trying to get my rings on and off.

....if you're still there...?

....Thank you for still reading my blog. :)

Its Ok Thursdays

It's okay...

....that I do not like the new Blogger format (DO YOU HEAR ME GOOGLE???).  If you don't click "Save", poof:  your post is lost forever.  The old one saved automatically.

....that my husband deactivated his Facebook account.  It keeps away the CRAY-zies.  Makes him seem more mysterious too.  I like that.  While I may blog my life away, at least I don't post vague please-feel-bad-for-me-and-now-I'm-going-to-bed statuses on Facebook.

....that I made my students guess how many jelly beans were in that jar last week. Two hundred and seventeen.  The winner guessed 220.  Other guesses included 37 and 43.  Obviously I win at teaching math.

...that I've added circuit training to my workout.

...that I got a coupon for 4 FREE Barre classes.  The bad news?  The studio is an hour away in south Anchorage.  Worth it??

...that I'm reading Farmer Boy to my class and they displayed interest in Laura Ingalls Wilder.  Be still my heart.  Tuesday was "Little House" day..

It's also totally not okay that I lost my camera's memory card for the second time in a month...I'm ridiculous.

Thankful Thursday @The Ramblings of Mrs. Hargrave

I'm thankful for....

....the fact that I've gotten to share my obsession of all things Little House on the Prairie this week!

....the fact that the snow is ALMOST gone.  Oh crap.  There's all that grass I didn't cut last fall.

...all of our credit card debt being officially gone.  #theonlygoodthingaboutdeployment

...my husband's careful financial planning.  I would have run us into the ground years ago.

What's okay with you this week?  Anything you're particularly thankful for???

Have a great weekend!

  1. The new format hasn't hit my blog yet, but I'll be sure to make note of the save issue - I really like the auto-save feature now. Bummer...

And yay for no more credit card debt! How awesome! :)

  2. love the fact about your kids guessing the jelly beans. we guessed the size of a pumpkin at our school in october (I think the weight was 100 pounds or so) and I had guesses as low as 8 and then as high as 1,000. estimating is hard. : )

  3. I hate the new blogger look. It's so white & ugly...blach!

There was really that many jelly beans in the jar? Holy cow. And now I want red jelly beans haha.

  4. Farmer's Boy was always my favorite out of the series. I thought their life sounded so fun, even when they were out cutting ice and stuff.

  6. I love everything in this post! And don't worry about the uncut grass... You were just adding an extra layer of warmth between snow and dirt - you only had the Earth's well-being in mind!
