Friday Recommendations, 8/8

I usually try to recommend some form of media in these posts... books, tv shows, movies...but I have found NO media worth recommending in the last week (books have been a particular struggle) so a few products and an easy recipe. This week I also posted what I've bought for not-fall when it comes to clothes and then memes

1. Eye masks and serum. I got a restock of my two favorites this week. My local Walmart doesn't carry this serum so I ordered from Amazon and these 24K gold eye masks have been repurchased at least 3 times. I've had some weird sinus issue and the cooling really helps in the morning.

2. This nail polish.  I went off in search of Olive and June gel polish (my old Walmart had it) but couldn't find it in Kansas. I ended up with this from Target. I really prefer O & J's formula, overall, but this is very smooth and you don't need a lot of extra steps. I love this color (Miley) because I think it's a good summer one for my skin tone. I'm going to go get a more neutral color for #fall soon.

3. Chicken caesar wraps. The easiest thing ever and it's going to be dinner twice a week for the next month if summer persists (it will). Grill chicken and chop it up. Make a bag of caesar salad mix. Toss it together. Put it on a wrap. Make a burrito.

4. Okay, I lied, here's one media recommendation (barely). We've not had luck with TV this week, really, but I made the mistake of hovering over the Netflix description of The 5th Wave for too long last night. Scott was immediately interested. It's an apocalyptic movie where aliens attack Earth. He looks at these types of movies/shows as instruction manuals and what-would-you-do-Kristin? scenarios and I hate them. It started to sound familiar toward the end and I was like "wait, is this a book?".

It's YA fiction. Not the worst movie ever but definitely took such a YA spin at the end that it made it feel way less real. I recommend if you need a movie to watch on Netflix this weekend.
