Wells' last day was Thursday.
My and Sutton's last day was Friday...
But Wells had to come along while I packed up my classroom so I did what everyone does almost daily here; we walked across the street to get a soda at the gas station.
Every student gets to go up on stage and receive an award at the end of the year.
Wells was one of only 4 kids in the elementary to have perfect attendance this year.
(I'll let you find the typo :)
Anyway, that's it. Nothing super ceremonial or fancy to post from me. You know my thoughts on public school. The last week, I have felt like a camp counselor at best and a babysitter at worst. I packed up what I wanted to take, leaving a few things for the brand new teacher, and I've been busy sorting between what to store and what to use for homeschooling in the fall. While I obviously love teaching, I couldn't imagine starting over with a new class next year. That seems like an insurmountable amount of work at this exact moment.
