10 things (I don't quite hate) about me

Tomorrow is my birthday and 10, as in the 10th, is my number that I use for most everything (go ahead: try and crack my passwords). Since there's this fun little link-up today, I thought I'd share ten things about myself that I feel like I haven't told you about yet.

I've been blogging for approximately one million years by now, so I'm digging deep. If you want an overview, here's the basics

1. My middle name is Elizabeth, so Sutton's middle name is Elizabeth. This is because it was my grandmother's name. I have to say that I love the spelling of Elisabeth with an s. Totally would've defeated the purpose of giving Sutton the middle name of Elizabeth. But I still love it.

2. I almost never paint my fingernails. Nail polish feels weird to me. I feel like there's some kind of toxin in it that doesn't agree with me.

3. I highlight my own hair but will go get professional pedicures. While I don't enjoy painting my fingernails, I loathe painting my toenails.

4. I rub my feet together a lot. It's like a self-soothing thing. I can't just sit there on the couch or lay in bed without rubbing my feet together. I was not made aware of this habit until Wells was about two years old and Scott was horrified that Wells was doing it too. That's when Scott pointed it out to me...I seriously had never noticed.

Sutton does it also. Scott is beside himself.

5. I hate tortellini. Hate it.

6. I keep 3-4 types of shampoo and conditioner in the shower and rotate using them. Keeps it interesting.

7. The only sport I really enjoy to watch is the NFL. College football is okay but I don't like it as much. I can't and won't even tolerate other sports on tv. I get *super* sad after the Super Bowl.

8. I am 95% sure I'm going to homeschool for kindergarten next year. 95%.

9. If given the opportunity, these days, I will choose a nap over just about anything else. I really don't like that about myself right now. I'm telling myself it's just because it's the first year with a new baby and it'll get better. (right?)

10. Going back to the title of this post, I've never quite understood why everyone loves 10 Things I Hate About You. It's very meh. If you want a good movie, go watch Larisa Oleynik in The Baby-Sitters Club instead. That was a good movie. I owned it on VHS.

Linking up with Adrienne, Dara, Jen, Joanne, Lauren and Sarah

  1. have you always hated tortellini? Do you like other pasta? As a carb-head, I'm so curious about that - LOL
My mom always rubs her feet together... always drives me nuts!

  2. And see now.. I almost always have my nails painted as unpainted nails feel weird to me (mine break and bend so much easier too when they aren't polished). I homeschooled my boys (my oldest was finishing 2nd, my middle was finishing kindergarten, and my youngest was in pre-k when we began) and while it definitely had it's challenges I loved it so much. I'm actually pretty sad that I'm nearly done with it.

  3. Happy birthday! I can't picture the foot rubbing? Both soles? Lol! Poor Scott! If it is a silent thing it wouldn't bother me.

I rub my feet together a lot too and my fella thinks it's really strange, I like it.

  6. Hope you had a lovely birthday! I loved reading your random ten things - they were all interesting to me. I don't rub my feet together, but I know what you mean about those kinds of unnoticed habits that annoy a husband. Mine is tapping my feet and fidgeting. Makes my husband crazy but I don't even notice I'm doing it. Go ahead and homeschool - it's so rewarding!! - I homeschooled all four of my kids all the way through!
