Weekend Photos (it's. still. fall.)

I put it out there on Instagram: there will be no Christmas in this house until after Thanksgiving. I mean, maybe the day before, but definitely not putting up anything until then when it comes to decorations. I was going to get my Thanksgiving decor out this weekend but, as you'll see, that plan fell to pieces.

Saturday was a great fall day. We went to a pumpkin patch with some friends.

Wells even got to try paintball. The older boys we were with did it so Wells did too. Strangely, "Wells" hit all of the targets ^^ and the 7 and 5 year old did not. Huh, right?

Anyway, he had a blast and yelled and screamed when it was time to leave.

Sunday was a disaster. Wells woke up sick and got worse throughout the day.

I made these pumpkin pancakes I've perfected over the last two weeks.

I finally asked Scott to hang up some pictures.

^My parting gift from coworkers in Alaska. A Shane Lamb (if you're into that kinda thing)

A picture my mom sent that she found at a furniture store on clearance years ago. It's my favorite. "Sunday in Sleepy Hollow".

I grabbed this at Lowe's in the summer of 2017. Everyone always comments on how cheery it is. I literally think it was $40.

And Wells' newborn outfit.

Anyway. Got nothing done on Sunday. NOTHING. I spent most of it on the couch with Wells watching Go Go Dino and Bubble Guppies. He wouldn't eat or drink. Finally, I wrote up my sub plans on Sunday night and...come Monday morning, he was better enough. Just kind of whiny. Considering that we need to save my days off for when we're really sick and not just "eh, maybe kinda sick?", we went to school. He seems fine now. He was whiny and miserable but never actually had a fever... By yesterday afternoon, he was as good as new. I think we're all just worn out.

Scout endeared himself to me by curling up, voluntarily, next to Wells.
I think Wells was just in his spot.

  1. Every year I’ve had my tree up in mid-November. This year, I have no desire. I’ll wait till after Thanksgiving. Fall didn’t even really start till almost Halloween this year, and I'm not ready to give it up yet.
