Best Books of 2019.

In case you need something for holiday week reading, any of these would be perfect.

I'm linking to my original reviews below.

I was looking for something all of these books had in common.

They're all fiction filled with fantastic writing, not just good plot.
They all have some aspect of historical fiction, but aren't straight-forward historical fiction.
All have some element of mystery to them, whether it's what-the-heck-is-going-on?! or I-have-no-idea-where-this-is-going or what-is-going-to-happen-to-that-character?

Also, for the first time since I've been doing these types of favorites round-ups, I read each of these. None were audiobooks.

In fact, all were hardback books from the library. Except for #4. I had that ARC from Netgalley and flew through it in a day (Kindle reading is so much faster, yes?).

If you haven't read any of these, try one out if you have some time off in this next week!

1. Ask Again, Yes

2. The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

3. Where the Crawdads Sing

4. The Family Upstairs

5. A Hundred Summers

What was the best book you read this year?

Linking up with Jana and Steph!
