This is the house we just bought in Colorado. It's on 35 acres of prairie, with a view of Pike's Peak. We signed the papers the first week in May. It's definitely ours.
Scott took these pictures over the weekend. He drove out there to drop off our camper and check things out. I still haven't seen the place!
The yard and house. It's a "raised ranch".
A view of Pike's Peak (somewhat obscured by the tree from this angle). That's our driveway there.
The kitchen and dining area. Big plans for that! Scott said the linoleum is new, though.
We're going to rework the configuration of cupboards because the fridge we have won't fit. We also have plans to make the island bigger.
New ceiling fans and wooden blinds. The carpet is in terrible condition, even though it doesn't look that bad here. Everything on this level will be hardwood in a few weeks. It also looks like the door needs to be painted, but Scott said it's actually nice. We'll see. Why people install carpet at entryways, I'll never understand.
The floor has been ordered.
The previous owners had horses.
As Scott and my mom say, now I have my own little house on the prairie.
Time to start churning butter.
Loooove. Is it up near Peyton like you said before?
