Stuff and things.

1.  The Host.  Such an awful book.  I never finished it 4 1/2 years ago when Scott bought it.  Scott wanted to watch the movie the other night.  I made it about 3/4 of the way through.  He fell asleep.  I hated myself for being too lazy to get up and turn it off, but I eventually mustered the motivation to get off the couch.  I still, all these years later, don't know how it ends.

2.  Honey butter and Gingerbread.  This is an amazing combination.  Oh, that honey butter.  I could eat it with a spoon.  Keep reminding yourself that it is, in fact, straight butter and not frosting.  Or you probably will end up eating it with a spoon.

4.  The Nike Fitness Center app is amazing.  It's free.  It allows me to strength-train for 15 minutes a day.  My muscles feel it the next day.  I don't have to drive 20 minutes to the gym.  Win, win, win.  You need to try it!

5.  Speaking of fitness, I found this story about a guy who achieved a 6-pack and still wasn't happy.  It sounds really familiar.  I was so close to what we can probably call a 4-pack this past summer.  Did it ultimately make me happy?  NO.

6.  The kids.  We had a question last week, "Write a sentence about a song you would like to sing".  I was writing answers on the board.  I called on someone and the answer I got was, "What does the fox say?" and I was like "I... would... like... to... sing... "" as I wrote it on the board....they were all, "NO!  What DOES the fox say!!" and I was all, "Oh, what DOES say?" and they're like, "Yeah" and I'm like, "Huh...I don't know that one" and they're like, "Oh, we do".  I won't go to the trouble of linking to the ridiculous video.  You can youtube that one on your own time.

7. Some people told me these look like pirate boots.  That's a new one.

Entire outfit: Target // Boots: Report
(What a hideous background.  Sorry about that.)

8.  Speaking of hideous, the Missouri University of Science and Technology has done it again.  They told Scott he owes them $16,000 and on the list of charges for one semester thus far is "Tuition: $5,500" and "Out of state tuition: $8,500".  There's more, obviously, to make it add up to such an obscene amount of money, but I do wonder how they got TWO tuitions factored into the bill for ONE semester.  They, indeed, must be geniuses at that math and science college.
This is on top of the fact that they haven't let him properly schedule his classes for the last 2 weeks AND no one will return his phone calls.  Friends, not that you were planning on coming to Missouri in the first place but, please avoid this school.  What a headache.  And it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside to know that they are so thoroughly unsupportive of the Army.

9.  (This list is getting long...)
Did The Walking Dead again put anyone to sleep?  I know they're setting up for something big...but man, it's taking awhile to get there...

  1. Actually, that song is called Fox. Suck it 2nd graders :)

  2. I freaking hate that fox song. One of my managers sings it randomly throughout the day. I can't handle it.

  3. I played that song so much, Jason ordered me a shirt online that asks..well, you know. I couldn't help it, lol. I never got into The Host, either.

  4. I haven't even bothered trying The Host. The second I saw it was by Stephenie (or however the h*** you spell her name) Meyers I said screw that, my time would be better spent in so many other ways.

Once again, I am behind on TWD until next year when they decide to put it on Netflix...annoying.

  5. As the wife of an out of state student, my best guess is that they are charging your husband for regular tuition and charging him a surcharge for not having legit MO residency.
because that basically sounds what we have at KSU.
PS. I swear if my new gov. job doesn't score him/us residency status I will have officially given up understanding higher education.
Here's the Walking Dead question I pose Every. Single. Week.:How much time has passed and WHEN WILL THESE BODIES BEGIN TO FULLY DECOMPOSE? We know they're essentially dead and rotting, so WHY has their skin/brain not rotted away?
    That really bothers me.

  6. Wow two tuitions in one bill?? Yeah they are winners.

  7. hah I have to admit, I like the fox song. It makes me smile. it's not meant to be serious anyway. LOL

That's crazy about the school! You would think they would be much better at supporting the military.

  8. I'm going to have to look into the Nike Fitness Center app! And I really like your boots, pirate boots or not! :)

  9. I can see a slight pirate-ish vibe but I don't think that's a bad thing! And that is so frustrating with the college charges! Ugh!

  10. Is the app called Nike Training Club? I can't find one called Fitness Center.

  11. Oh wow... I LOVED The Host... couldn't put it down. & actually liked the movie. Guess that means don't ever take my word on anything :)

  12. I hate that fox song, I listened once to see what the big deal was then refuse to ever again. Sucks about MS&T...again! And do you watch How I met Your Mother? I'm feeling the same way about that show that you do about Walking Dead. Just get to the darn thing already!

  13. Honey butter makes my life complete!

  14. Someone played that song for me. It is the stupidest most awful waste of time and a sorry excuse for music. lol

Those do not look like pirate boots. Crazy people. :)

  15. I like the boots! (Have no idea about the song)

  16. They charge the regular education fees and then a non resident fee on top of that. It sucks. I worked in the cashier's office while attending UMKC and people were always upset with that non resident fee. I would talk to them and see if they will waive it since he is military. They do have waivers for certain situations.

  17. Jordan is OBSESSED with that song. It's all I hear coming from her iPod on the speakers. Then she makes up crazy dances and sings. It's not annoying at all.

I'm lying. It's really, really annoying.

Comments make my day!
