I'm not sure what to wear

(Don't mind the dead plants in the background.  Sometimes I can't believe I remember to feed/water the poor dog.)

Last week, a little boy asked me, "Why are you wearing cowboy boots?"

Pants: JCP // Boots: Steve Madden // Shirt: Target // Sweater: old

I said, "What?!"

He said, "Oh, I'm sorry.  CowGIRL boots."

I replied with, "What's wrong with them?"

He said, "I don't know.  Why are you wearing them?"

Boot season has not come to Missouri yet.  I own approximately 2 pairs of comfortable school-appropriate sandals.  I'm confused.  What am I supposed to be wearing when it's 85 degrees in October?  It was so warm on this day.  I don't even know what to do anymore.  This is unfamiliar territory.

Partners are being matched for The 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Swap this week!  You should hear from Becky or me by Friday (night....because let's be real here).

Remember, packages should be mailed by October 18th (I know you're already shopping!) and we're linking up on October 25th.

  1. Hahha, "cowGIRL"...well in Florida, I wear plenty of open toe shoes because we don't really have a legit Fall or Winter...but seeing as you came from Alaska...I have no idea. Sounds like a shopping trip is in order!

  2. I haven't known what to do since my classroom can be like the freaking tundra or the tropics on any given day. That being said, it was in the 80s here last week. I was wearing boots last week and one of the other teachers came in and was like, "Oh good, you're wearing boots. I know it's 80 degrees, but it's October." It's all very confusing. We'll be in the 60s this week, and today my room was 59 degrees. I'll be dressing like December.

  3. I went shopping last week and bought all these cute new Fall tops and then ended up in a sleeveless dress and flip flops all weekend. So confusing! You look cute still!
