High 5 for Friday

I'm going to resolve to keep High 5 for Friday a positive space.  After all, isn't it about the high points of the week?

Things are still terribly up in the air here.  I said the other day it was like an 80/20 split (going vs. staying).  Now it's at about 60/40.  Ugh.
I know that this really, truly needs to be prayed about.  But I don't know how.  We don't want to decide this.  We want the right option for us to be presented to us.  I'm just not sure how to get to that point.

However..for today, let's keep it happy.

1. This from Lauren.

2.  I was kinda thrilled to not see Andrea on The Walking Dead last week.  As a Slate discussion said, it was refreshing not to be forced to watch Andrea make really bad decisions...over and over again.

3.  I took the children a pre-spring break treat.  I woke up feeling horrible yesterday, thinking about these decisions that need to be made and how miserable Scott is at work...I got the urge to do something nice for others.  Which is why the kids got cake yesterday.  Strangely, it made me feel better to be back on the acts of kindness bandwagon (with Amber).  I think I skipped last week.

4.   Me too, Jennifer.  I had a lovely pizza on Wednesday night.

5.  I had some terrific workouts this week.  My nerves may be shot, but that kind of anxiety usually leads to good workouts for me. Some strength training, some floor hockey, and some TurboKick. I'm looking forward to another cardio class on Saturday too.

Happy weekend all!

  2. high five for the positive outlook! I would be a mess right now. I definitely understand that you want the right option presented to you. I would feel the same way. Hopefully it's figured out soon. In the meantime, hang in there!

Your students are so lucky that you're a cool teacher and bringing them treats. I NEVER had a teacher that brought us anything fun.

So glad that the one positive of anxiety = good workouts.

Happy weekend, hopefully you get to relax and de-stress a bit!

  9. Ill be praying for you all as well. I know how hard these decisions can be, especially when the path isn't exactly clear. Glad the classroom treat and work outs brightened things up a bit though! Have a big ol glass (or bottle, no judgement here) of wine tonight and relax!

  13. I wish you were my teacher! Oh wait, my Spanish teacher got us all coffee candy on the Monday after ski break because she thought we were falling asleep. Close enough?
I'm really sorry to hear about the whole stay/go thing. I mean, there is only so much you can stay strong through, right? Good luck with everything!
