Fall and funny stuffs.

"Fall" here is like shooting straight from July to November.  That's what transitioning from September to October is like in tundraland.  And when I say July I'm being generous.  For all you lower 48-ers, our July is like your April (maybe).

But you're not here to hear about the weather.  You get enough of that from me every other day of the week.

So I'll share another awesome wreath I made...

And some Pumpkin Cake Pops.

This is the Cake Pop process.  I used food coloring to make the candy melts (vanilla-flavored) orange and dyed a bit of icing (from a can) green to make the pumpkin stems.  Super easy.

For the cake part?  Use pumpkin in place of oil.  I used a Spice Cake Mix.

On Wednesday, I almost had a mini-heart-attack when I thought a student was comparing me to the ever-elegant KStew.

A student asked me what I was going to be for Halloween.  I said, "I'm going to wear my tiara".  He laughed and said, "I know who you should be!"

"Who?" I asked apprehensively.

"Have you seen Snow White and the Huntsman?  You should be that girl.", he said.

WTF.  

"Um..which girl?", I asked.

"You know, the queen."

Whew.

"Oh, so not Snow White?"

"No!  You know...the queen!"

"The one with the blonde hair?"  (I had to be sure)

"Yes."

WHEW.

"Okay.  That's quite the compliment.  Thank you."

All smiles, he went back to his seat.

THAT was a close one.
