It's OK 5/24

First, the winner of the autographed copy of The Snow Child is (fellow teacher and blog friend) Kristen @Established: 2008.  Shoot me an email (k.e.twigg@gmail.com) with your mailing address and I'll send it out soon!

Thank you all for your book recommendations.  I have a lot of reading to do this summer!

Secondly, my copy of Fifty Shades of Grey is still sitting in the living room.  Any takers??

Didn't think so.

Moving on..

Its Ok Thursdays

It's okay...

...that I finally unsubscribed from Groupon.  Honestly, just because I live in Alaska does not mean I want to participate in Alaskan activities.  I told them that too, when they asked why I was unsubscribing.

...that I finished this book in 3 hours last Saturday night.  A co-worker recommended Sarah's Key to me.  Definitely makes you appreciate what you have.  You don't even need to have a background in World War II history to understand it...the book does all the explaining for you.

...that the 2011-2012 school year is done.  I can't believe my second year is over.  These aren't even my kids and I feel like time is moving too fast.

However, I'm mostly excited about the idea of summer vacation.(via)

....to have been absolutely peeved when a substitute took over Turbokick the other day.  She was an idiot.  An absolute idiot.  I can't believe I drove 40 minutes to practice "kicking techniques, not choreography" to the musical stylings of Miranda Lambert, Adele, and various Christian artists.

I didn't over-react in a dramatic way...not at all. (via)
...to have had it with circuit training.  I stopped going on Tuesdays about 3 weeks ago.  I switched to pilates on that night.  Life is too short for boring workouts.  Circuit training doesn't play music = it's boring.

...that I've started it at least 3 times, but still have not made it the whole way through Sunday's episode of Mad Men.  I love it.  I do.  But for the past two weeks, I've been in a True Blood phase.  When I'm not trying to decipher episodes of Game of Thrones, that is.

Oh.  And for your viewing pleasure..

Let's change the state motto to "Move to Alaska.  Go broke trying to feed your family fruits and vegetables."  I'll have to speak with the governor about that.
