Tagalong Milkshake

I threw Girl Scout cookies away.

I'm sorry.  But when it comes down to it, Girl Scout cookies do not win.  My self-control is usually at a zero on a scale of 1-10, so I just can't keep this kinda stuff around for too long.  Plus...and pleasepleaseplease don't hit me....Girl Scout cookies don't taste as good as they used to.  Is it just me??  I mean, Oreos taste just as good as they have for the last two dozen years.  Maybe the quality (not to mention the quantity) of our favorite once-a-year cookies has gone down while the price has gone up.

So yeah.  I made a milkshake.  And then I got rid of the superfluous cookies.  I still have Birthday Oreos in the pantry anyway.  There can only be so many tempting treats in the house at once.  And I have got to stop buying ice cream...

Tagalong Milkshake
makes 1 shake
2 cups vanilla ice cream (or frozen yogurt)
3 T. peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
1 t. vanilla
5 Tagalong cookies (this would be just as yummy with PB Oreos..hint hint)
Whipped cream, optional

In a blender, combine ice cream, peanut butter, vanilla, and 3 cookies.  Add milk until desired consistency is reached.  Pour into a glass and top with additional crumbled cookies and whipped cream.

  1. Oh man, Im gonna have to make this for hubs when he gets home. Im the exact same way though, if there is something in the house that is tempting I usually have to throw it away. No will power right here. Glad Im not the only one

  2. omg, this looks SO freakin' good! Now I want a milkshake haha.

You're not the only one that think they don't taste as good. The hubs & I are addicted to Thin Mints but found that Keebler makes the exact same cookies but better tasting. And not to mention they're around all year long :)

  3. I don't know if we can be friends anymore. Wait a minute, maybe this milkshake has redeemed it. ;) I know what you mean - I have zero willpower!

Also agree with you on the Girl Scout cookies. I had to throw them away after I ate a sleeve by my myself.
