Sugar Cookie Shake

This is the sad story of a girl.  A batch of sugar cookie dough.  And a full-time job.

The girl made a batch of "refrigerate overnight" sugar cookie dough on a Saturday morning.  Cute, decorative groundhogs in honor of Groundhog Day were supposed to result from this dough.
Then the girl got sick.  Flu-ish kinda sick.  Even through the sickness, the girl had to work away the daylight hours.  Bills gots to be paid, yo (as her husband would say).

Skip to Wednesday night.  The girl is quite certain the sugar cookie dough will no longer be viable if it's not used soon...and 2 sticks of butter is too valuable of a resource to be wasted....but it's too late to make decorative, fondant-covered groundhogs.  Oh no!

Well, this is what she did:  Bake and freeze. 40 perfect, round sugar cookies made from her favorite recipe.  Baked and frozen.  And the thought of frozen sugar cookies gave her a brilliant idea...

Okay, I'm done talking in the third person.  Promise.

I have a problem with putting cookies in milkshakes.  I can't eat ice cream unless it's stuffed with cookie or cake chunks.  So it makes sense that this applies to milkshakes too.

I used the banana trick.  You don't have to.  Use up that extra ice cream.  I never have extra ice cream.

Sugar Cookie Shake
makes 1 large or 2 small shakes

1 cup vanilla ice cream
1 frozen banana
up to 1 cup of milk
1 t. vanilla
1 T. vanilla frosting
2 sugar cookies
sprinkles
whipped cream, optional (It looked so pretty without whipped cream, so I didn't add any.)

In a blender, mix the ice cream, banana, vanilla, milk, and frosting.  Add more milk if needed of for the correct consistency.  Toss in one of the sugar cookies and pulse a few times.
Pour into a glass, or two, and top with the other sugar cookie, sprinkles, and whipped cream, if desired.
