S'more Fondue

This, I'm quite sure, will be your undoing.  It's been my undoing in the last 2 months.  I have a hard time ending an evening of grading, planning, blogging, T.V.-watching without a bowlful of this frosting-like deliciousness.

I've strategized it though:  When alone, I use the teeniest-tiniest little Pyrex dish there is to make my s'mores fondue.  And then I practically lick the bowl.

That version* takes 45 seconds to make, including assembly time.  15 seconds of assembly time is NOT enough time to talk yourself out of making this sweet treat.
-------------------------------------------------
This is really just the stuff I dip graham crackers in.  My experimenting with s'mores came to a head last summer when I realized that I didn't need a certain kind of marshmallow, chocolate, or even peanut butter to make a proper s'more.  Proper s'mores are boring.  Tasty, yes.  But I wanted to dip my s'mores, not sandwich my s'mores.  Dipping means that, by nature, you can eat more.  Ask anyone.

This is also the theory I rely upon for my potato chips.

Like so much of what I do, this is a process.  Ingredients can be substituted to suit your needs.

There are two methods:  microwave or Little Dipper Crockpot if you want to make enough to share and keep it warm.

You probably should not use the Crockpot method if you are home alone.  Just something I've noticed...

S'more Fondue
Makes about 1 1/2 cups

3/4 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup butterscotch, peanut butter, white chocolate, or even more regular chocolate chips
1/2 cup marshmallow fluff or mini-marshmallows, or a hand of big marshmallows
1/4 cup peanut butter
Graham crackers or pretzels for dipping

Mix everything together in a microwave-safe dish and heat for 2-3 intervals of 30 seconds each.  Stir between each interval.  You just want the chips to be melted.  Serve immediately with graham crackers for dipping.

Or.

Mix all ingredients into a Little Dipper Crockpot.  Put the lid on and plug in.  Heat for 1/2 hour or until melted together.  Stir to incorporate.  Serve with graham crackers.

*I typically, in my small Pyrex dish, use 1 T. peanut butter, 2-3 T. chocolate chips, and 1 T. marshmallow fluff.  Microwave the PB and chocolate chips for 30 seconds, stir, then mix in the fluff.*
