Peachy Margaritas

I have no fresh peaches.  Luckily, these are pretty tasty.  $2 a bag at the commissary, my friends.  Completely worth it.

The ocean of goodness that is peach and simple syrup puree.

At the last minute, I couldn't resist and I threw in a handful of frozen strawberries.
Also very tasty and also $2 a bag.

A group shot with Jose and Triple Sec in the background.
Such a happy little family they make.

Peachy Margaritas
for 1 large drink

1/2 cup sugar + 1/2 cup water (boil until sugar is dissolved) + 1 cup frozen peaches + blend well
= peach puree

1/4 cup peach puree
1 1/2 cups ice
1 shot (2 ounces) tequila
1 shot (2 ounces) Triple Sec
Juice of one lime, reserving one wedge for garnish
1/2 cup frozen strawberries (or fresh will work just fine)

Blend well!  You might have to stir it a bit, especially if the berries are frozen.

This is a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
