Stuff and Things 10/16 (I forgot to hit publish)

I thought I set this last night before bed.  I mean, it's not the most interesting Stuff and Things I've ever done, but it still needs to be published.  Sorry about that.

The theme this week is GRAINY IPHONE PICTURES.  You'll see what I mean…

+Who watched The Walking Dead on Sunday?  I watched it Monday night and I thought this was the best episode in awhile.  The perfect blend of action and suspense and I might have teared up a little at the end during the scene at the cabin.

+I tried to go to the new Trader Joe's on Saturday. It had just opened on Friday. I know how dumb that sounds:  "I tried to go on Saturday."  But I was in town on Saturday and I thought I'd give it a try.  However, the police were there directing traffic and I had to park half a mile away at Panera.  I mean, I didn't really have anything else to do so I definitely would've stood in the line to buy some groceries.  Even if that line stretched the whole way around the store.  However, the shelves were bare.   I mean, bare.  Hardly worth the time to not even be able to pick up the things I needed.  I went to Panera instead.

Sitting in parking lot traffic

+I spent like 41 minutes trying to design a new label for Stuff and Things last night and then I realized I didn't have a post written yet for today and so whatwasthepointofanewdesign?  I can't decide on colors or shapes.  Maybe by next week if I'm feeling the motivation bug.

+Pike's Peak has snow.  Only a matter of time…

7am in the driveway

+I apologize if things are slow today.  It's been a boring week.

+Tomorrow!  Link on up!

  1. Oh gosh yay hi! I was worried something was wrong (I know you've been having a rough week). The trader joes thing sounds freaking insane and totally something I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. I've been hoping and wishing and praying for a panera to show up here. I'll be going to stay at my parents for a little while to help with my dad and because I begged them to hire me for a wallpaper removal project because...dead car = we need dollar bills. Maybe while I'm there I can sneak out to get some work down at the panera by their house. I miss it so much! I was going to ask you-I know you've said before that sometimes getting the link up all set up takes it all out of you--would you want a partner in crime? Since I work from home I could easily get everything set up and send you what you need. Totes up to you, just thought I'd offer! Hope your week has been easier friend.

  2. That's crazy that Trader Joes was so busy, I would have gone to Panera instead as well.

  4. Mmm Panera! I haven't been there in forever! I may need to make a trip! We are supposed to be getting a Trader Joe's sometime in 2015 and I just know that it is going to be a nightmare the first few weeks. I really miss having one when I moved here so I am excited!

  5. Ten bucks if Sitka got a Trader Joe's it would be empty because everyone would be boycotting "corporations". Heh.

I'm *thisclose* to just buying episodes of TWD on Amazon Prime because I'm so tired of always being behind on that show!

Our mountaintops got snow last week, too. I know the feeling. Snow be creepin'...

  7. That's crazy about Trader Joe's! I'm terrified something is going to happen to Judith on The Walking Dead. That scene in the cabin had me so nervous. Don't mess with the baby!

  8. That picture of the mountain is gorgeous. Sure NYC is my backyard, which is fun and all, but I'm a nature lover so to see something like that when I leave my house every day would be... amazing.

  9. I figured you forgot to hit publish. I was all like WHERE IS STUFF & THINGS!

    Bad planning, Trader Joe's.

Love that pic from the driveway.

    Have a great weekend!

  10. Have we talked about how I tried cookie butter for the first time a few weeks ago? There are a few new Trader Joe's around the Dallas metroplex, and Micah and I finally stopped by one. The first thing I grabbed was the cookie butter. HOLY COW. I am HYPER aware that it's in my pantry now, and I literally had to set up a schedule whereby I am allowed one spoonful of cookie butter per week. (Otherwise, I could clear out that jar in a matter of days...)

Anyway, I first heard of it here, so I'm holding you responsible. Therefore, I am simultaneously angry with you for tempting me with the deliciousness and eternally grateful for sharing.
