The homework they DO have is almost always work that was just not finished in class or during the school day. In most of our 6th grade PM homerooms, students have a lot of time to work on assignments before going home. Plus, we encourage them to work on homework or read for AR during down time in class. If they don't finish it, it's because they didn't choose to.Becky Doughertyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11137408537369933534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457422002171939579.post-815519783233664822016-08-26T16:55:53.798-05:002016-08-26T16:55:53.798-05:00Is Season 2 of Unreal up on Hulu? Oftentimes I'll have a few sentences to say about a topic but it's not enough to turn into a full post. If you started doing the link-up again, I'd probably switch back to Thursdays. No pressure of course! ;)

HUGE pet peeve when people say "research shows" or "research has proven." What research? Just saying it's out there doesn't make it true. I loved Unreal S1 but S2 was kind of all over the place... have you read the New Yorker article on Sarah Gertrude Stein? I thought it was really great and explained the show well. I may have already asked you this. And Shameless starts again in October so that's exciting.Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01625993635674294934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1457422002171939579.post-27879207272109260202016-08-25T08:50:00.968-05:002016-08-25T08:50:00.968-05:00That's how I feel about that homework statemen...That's how I feel about that homework statement as well!!! Maybe we should reintroduce the linkup! You know, to add to the billion other things you have going on right now ;) (If we were to do that, I'd handle the link. Let's chat). I'm with you on the teacher banning homework thing. She's made out to be some kind of hero--but watch her students all go on to bag groceries the rest of their lives because "shift work" is all they'll understand. Too harsh?Joey Hodges https://www.blogger.com/profile/03924167639294786738noreply@blogger.com
